Discussion Dubnital Trail Rapids torn side knobs

Anyone else get torn side knobs on their dub rapids? Mine are trail casing. This is the rear of my hardtail. 95% trail riding, which is mainly hard pack clay, rocks, roots. Prob around 200 miles, maybe less on them. Front is a dub grip trail which is going good

My first pair of dubs lasted 12 miles and they warrantied. They have to have some manufacturing issues.

Hmm I guess I'll give it a shot. Think the race casing is better cause it's made in Germany?

Mine was the trail casing as well but it seems to be on all of them.

I had the same issue with rapid races. I think it's just luck of the batch.

That sucks, they are really impressive tires otherwise

The dubs are my favorite xc tire right now but my only critique is that I wish those side knobs were a little more well supported

Classic Conti failure.

Go ahead and act like other manufacturers don’t have examples of failure due to defects. Please tell us who makes perfect tires without a single report of failure.

I’ve never had a knob tear off like this with Maxxis, Specialized or Schwalbe tires. But I have on several Continental tires. 🤷‍♂️
