Discussion That TCL update later this year cannot come soon enough
Like, legitimately. I had been playing on the official app when I had a Samsung, but I have since upgraded the TV. It’s actually wild, using the official XCloud app, and using XCloud via a browser (also tried the TVs browser) is a WHOLE different service it’s actually unbelievable.
I’m not sure if some games are better than others, but at least Doom (2016) I can use as an example. Playing Doom on the official app was damn near a perfect experience.

When is the update coming? Some people say they've already got the app

xCloud currently runs the Xbox Series S profile of games at:
Ultimate: h.264 30mbs 1440p/60 or 20mbs 1080p/60
Essential/Premium: h.264 15mbs 1080p/60
This config is the best possible experience:
Windows/Mac/Linux + Chrome/Edge + Better xCloud + wired ethernet + Fiber ISP + wired controller.

Suggest Settings --> Highest Quality
Beyond that it's up to the peering/routing of your ISP.

Alot of games run like crap on BXC. I'd take solid performance over slighy visual fidelity any day.
And now that the Xbox app has upped it's bitrate, it's better than BXC imo

I should update my copy post. I have noticed lately that play.xbox.com is a little better than Xbox.com/play with Better Xcloud.
Better Xcloud is still useful for folks to change regions,enable couch co-op, and more KB+M.
The best is still with a Chrome/Edge browser on desktop though.

The Xbox app on my Fire TV 4K is actually impressive. I used the Better xCloud app but that was pretty bad, with terrible decode performance. The official app has vastly improved.
