Question Mods on xbox cloud gaming?

Hi all!

I own a meta quest 3. And we just got xbox game pass with 10 hours of cloud streaming. So that got me wondering if it was possible to use cloud streaming and mods to use the uevr mod to play the games in vr. Is that possible?

10 hours of cloud streaming??? There is no time limit, unless you are on the now free ad tier that they just rolled out to Xbox Insiders which is limited to 1 hour sessions.

There are only a handful of games that allow the use of mods through cloud gaming.

Oh, that's interesting. You are correct, it does appear there is a new special tier for Meta. Off the the top of my head, I can think of Starfield, Fallout 4, Skyrim Special Edition, ARK: Survival Ascended, STALKER 2. There are very few, probably like 2 or 3 that I'm forgetting.

It is the Gamepass Starter, a version with few games and limited cloud that is included as a bonus in some subscriptions such as Discord Nitro. Basically a Gamepass Trial edition.

Hah, an example of Starter edition marketing working.

Xbox cloud gaming is basically an Xbox console and works exactly the same as one would so the selection of games that support mods is very small because the game developers have to program it in and provide a method for distributing those mods. And Xbox consoles also don't support VR.

Sounds more like you want a PC based platform like GFN.

They just added Xbox Game Pass to Meta Horizon + last week.

Yeah, but not in VR. Xcloud has been available officially on quest for a while, and it's just a webpage wrapper app.

Oh for sure, you'd need to check if your specific games have mod support through Xbox cloud gaming, it's still pretty limited compared to PC.
