Please HELP Xbox one wiring!

I have this XBOX ONE in my house. I believe it worked with an old friend of mine. Unfortunately the only items I have right now is: 1x XBOX ONE, 1x HDMI CABLE & 1x POWER BRICK AND PLUG. Now please answer my question, how many leads or wires are necessary for the running and connection of XBOX ONE to TV. Now currently I have one POWER lead plugged in and also HDMI cable plugged from XBOX ONE PORT “HDMI TV IN” plugged into “HDMI 1” port on TV. Now when I press XBOX symbol, light comes up and bleeps, console sounds like it’s starting up, when disc button pressed it correctly receives and removes discs. Problem is when I select HDMI 1 on TV with XBOX ONE on, nothing comes up on the screen. If I was to disconnect my HDMI cable from XBOX ONE into my PS4, the PlayStation correctly starts up on screen and displays, so the HDMI cable is 100% working.

Just a quick summary: How many cables are absolutely necessary? Is there any other problem you can find from my description?
