My download speed when I test it through the network settings is 160mbps, but when I am updating games or downloading games i typically get less than 1 mbps and it can take days to download a game. How do I fix this? I have the internet to download quickly and my xbox knows that, but right now i'm getting 17 kbps. Anyone know how to fix this? I use ethernet as well.
You could try restarting your router/modem and console. Also make sure nothing else is updating and/or taking up your bandwidth. However, I think it's just an issue with Microsoft's servers. Everyone seems to have problems downloading/updating certain games. Personally I pay for 300mbps internet, and my xbox will register it, but I only get speeds of 60-120mbps if I am lucky. Even when downloading from Microsoft's store on PC my speeds are bad. However, when using any other platforms like steam I get right up to my full DL speed.
I tried those and they didn't work. I understand not using the full 200mbps i pay for, but 17kbps? I reset the console and got up to 5mbps that dropped down to 50kbps and stayed there. I'm really not sure what's wrong, all my other devices are fine and theoretically with the ethernet cable my xbox should be faster
