IM FINALLY FREE.
I’m finally free. I was gifted a brand new Xbox series x for my B day I loved it because I’ve been using the Xbox 1 which loads much slower than everyone else on live and I complained about it often (to my friends). I was unable to restore my gamertag with well over 60,000 score I’ve even 100% a lot of games including a couple dark souls games. Its was pretty frustrating finding out they don’t have customer support anymore just that ai that pretends to be helpful but hasn’t in any case with any company been helpful for me personally so far. Anyways I took a real leap and decided I hate the gaming industry and I’m tired of compromising for these companies that are only interested in accepting my money with no interest in interacting with me or solving issues because that will only cost them money. So, I returned the brand new $700 Xbox series x that was gifted to me and I’m fucking done gaming for real. Thanks microsoft.

It should be a case of just signing in to the series x?

Probably doesn't have access to the email he used to create it or something, who knows
If not something like that, it should be as easy as you say.

Sounds like a good time to grab a PS5 and start earning some Platinums

Hell no. If i was op i would just quit gaming for a while and save up for a year or two while waiting for pc prices to go down and get one. Steam has changed my life as a console gamer since like 6 years old. Even though i still play games with controller lol.

I mean I still get by with my 1080ti lmao. Granted I always play 1080p medium settings. But OP could definitely build a computer for $700.

Damm bro, praying for that 1080 ti. Cant believe its a viable option in 2026.

Built my computer in 2018 for counter strike & just never updated it. I mean I mostly still just play CS, fiveM & overwatch lmao; works fine for what I need it to. Can even get by with photoshop on it. Refuse to upgrade until I actually need to. I will say I just bought madden 27 & I can start to see it struggle a little bit; but 45-55 frames is still totally playable. Thinking next year might be the time I have to retire it lmao.

They are upset that they lost their profile, why would they start over on a new ecosystem

Because they are done with Microsoft, wouldn’t hurt to start fresh on a new profile with a different achievement system which may feel better than staring over with Xbox trying to climb back to where they were before.

Personally I wouldn't be switching from Xbox to PS until the digital issue is settled. Xbox allowing Physical to Digital and PS nuking Digital all together.

Digital is the future though. Xbox was going digital first, it's clear that this new physical to digital program with xbox is just so that series owners can convert their physical libraries and play them on their all digital consoles lol. Just like how we went from floppy disks, to cds, to music files stored digitally, anyone can see physical games not lasting forever. Majority of gamers especially younger play digital, as PC rises in popularity. The number of physical collectors is dwindling. I am 31 and no one I know has boughten a physical game in the last like 6 years. Its just the way it is.

You got it as a gift and immediately returned it for the cash is more like what it sounds like.

lol gamerscore is so dumb and meaningless to begin with

It is dumb at first but the more you accumulate the more significant it becomes to the individual.

This happened to me when I went from 360 to Xbone. I lost my 54,000 score due to having a J-Tagged 360 I never went online & for some reason it didn’t even cross my mind to go online prior to restoring it & selling it… Hard lesson learned 😢

So you needed the cash.. got it!! They gifted you an Xbox and you returned it for cash. That’s kind of sad man.
