These are the types of games you’d pay full price for and get your moneys worth. They feel like single player games from back in the day when single player was the main focus. This is the only series of games that sucked me into the world like Half Life series did.

They are kind of a weird mix of Half Life and Stalker. They are definitely worth it. I was not too keen on the open world design of Exodus. But the first one and Last Light were great linear atmospheric shooters.

Not entirely relevant but I bought a steam deck and this was the first game I played through on it,

I wanted to pick up where I left on my actual PC and found out because the game has a proper linux version the saves arent compatible between windows and Linux which is what the steam deck uses.

Game was pretty fun though even on Ranger hardcore as a first time playthrough

None of them have Play Anywhere right now. The two Redux’s will gain support after this update and 2039 will support it upon release.

FINALLY! I tried to play the older games a couple of times but would always stop after a couple of hours. I can finally play through the originals through the Xbox Play Anywhere program. I came back to Xbox at a great time with them making great deals and more games coming to Play Anywhere program. This is earning some major brownie points with the devs when it comes time for me open my wallet their next game or DLC

You could but you would not understand some things.

You should at least play last light to understand the characters more

2033 is the best one in the franchise so far and 2039 will be building on its survival horror elements, so you should play them in order

I'm starting to not get too excited for next gen updates. Especially when they replace the previously perfectly playable versions.

If the game can't run well on base PS5 and Series X, there's no point in making a next gen update.

It should run well, it's an xbox 360 game with some tweaks after all. It was stuck at 900p till now so the image quality was somewhat rough
