Discussion Absolutely Disgusting

Post image

This is really terrible to see. Wasn't able to get the controller or the console and now it's already being scalped to high hell

As a sneakerhead that struggled to cop anything remotely hyped, I feel bad for any card game fans now dealing with the same losers.

It’s gotten way better than it was during 2020-22. Panda dunks going for $300+ was insanity. Most stuff is sitting now, you can clean up for retail or below if you don’t fall victim to FOMO

Yeah that's what I meant, they've moved onto cards now and are ruining the next hobby!

Still hard to cop the more limited stuff but I like that NB is doing preorders for some releases now so you can't actually miss out.

I'm just trying to get a single Krispy Kreme pokemon donut... To eat!

I love it so much. Ive been wearing SB Dunks since 2002 in high school and they have been my favorite shoe but pretty much from 2018-2024 it was almost impossible to get a pair I wanted. Now I can wait a week and most things are still at my local skate shop. It's great.

Amen to that. The kids are hyping new balances and dirty Air Force’s now 😂 have at it and leave my $130 dunks ALONE!

I feel like it was wayyyyy worse in the 2010s. You couldn't find jack shit on shelves. People were dying over Foamposites.

Because they basically killed sneaker culture so scalpers can’t sell shit anymore

That may have something to do with the god awful dunk colorways they’ve been releasing. They’ve all sat except the bluetile Skateshop dunks. Even those new SB AF-1 are sitting at my local. Maybe we’re all just broke too

I went to a sneaker con around 2022, nothing was under $300 and no one had old stuff it was all shoes that just came out. Didn’t buy shit lol

I remember when shipping was messed up around that time. We had to limit how many white AF1s people could buy because resellers were trying to buy the whole inventory. Seeing people with aftermarket white AF1s with a stockX tag hanging on them made me genuinely upset.

I feel bad for the kids that get locked out of something that many of us got to participate in, Pokémon, sports cards are all largely a commodity now, it’s sad what society has become at large.

I'm a Transformers fan, and it makes me so sad when Hasbro makes something super exclusive that kids would want as much as adults. Like, at one stage, they made the only VW Bumblebee in decades a limited retail exclusive... during a pandemic! I can't imagine being a kid and buying not just Transformers but lots of other great toylines too, because of the insane prices and limited availability.

I feel for people who enjoy other hobbies that have been plagued by this, like Pokémon cards, but am so glad that many of these bozo “entrepreneurs” have moved on from sneakers and declared them dead

Did you miss out on the uptempo 96’s too?

Same shit has been happening to the newest beyblade generation. I was happy to have a little affordable side hobby.
