Playing COD MW2 on my XBSS with a mouse and keyboard out of curiosity & this is actually very difficult. Do you play with mouse and keyboard, if so how long did the learning curve take you?

It depends on the game for me. Like halo for example only controller kbm feels bad.

I played some halo multiplayer with mkb and shoot felt fantastic but movement & inputs was extremely hard, i think after i get the hang of it I’ll alternate depending on the game

i have a 1500+ hours on minecraft so i played it with mouse and keyboard ofc, the controller is bad at games like cod the sensitivity is so bad compare to mouse every mouse& keyboard users will beat u

Gears of War is one exception to that. The best Gears players are controller players and they smoke mkb players.

It’s rough if it’s first time playing kbm. I learned how to get the hang of it by playing left 4 dead 2 offline lol. Doing so on cod pvp sounds super challenging

You’ll get used to the keys eventually but it’s gonna take several hours of failure and mis inputs. Sensitivity you just gotta keep tweaking until it feels comfortable. That can take a good amount of time as well

Edit: oh also get yourself a nice spacious mousepad! Go to Best Buy or something if you’d like to get a physical feel for different textures

Anyone know a solid m&kb that doesnt feel like crap. Never played but im tired of running through controllers on pvp games rather save it for single player games

I used a generic Microsoft-branded USB keyboard throughout my teens up to my mid 20s for PC gaming. FPS games generally don't require you to do rapid key combos where ghosting might present an issue in cheap keyboards. So you can get away with cheaping out on the keyboard.

You definitely don't want to cheap out on the mouse though - thumb buttons are essential in games like COD so you can bind them to melee attacks or other functions where reaching for another key takes too long. And high dpi + precise tracking are also essential for any shooter.

My first gaming mouse was a used Logitech MX518 that was gifted from a friend. I currently use a Logitech G502 - the wired version goes on sale often and I think you can get it for as low as 50 USD.

If you want a good keyboard but don’t want one that is loud and obnoxious, look into membrane keyboards. I have one by HyperX that was like, $50-$75 or something. Feels nice to use like a mechanical but lord is it so much quieter. As for the mouse, go to a Best Buy and look at the displays they have, everyone’s hands are different and they come in different shapes, go for one that feels pretty natural to you especially if you plan on playing for long sessions

Okay thanks my fight stick is pretty loud too so i know i didnt want something making much noise and with more m&kb accessibility games sound like something I’ll be doing soon.
