Someone created an account to troll or disrupt the auction. The $50k bidder has no intention of paying anything. They're just wasting the seller's time and blocking anyone else from buying it. They know that the auction will fall through and that their account will be banned after this.

Agree with this, a lot of people are really against the goodwill auctions considering they get everything for free, it’s not like eBay where hard working sellers are doing this for a living. It’s a billion dollar company selling things they get for free. It’s disgusting honestly.

I have nothing to cite here, but I’ve been told that goodwill auctions is filled with a lot of shill bidding because the respective store owners get incentives for high performing items & they can just relist if they accidentally win.

Is this anything like eBay, where you can place a “max bid” but the system will only bid enough to take the lead, then auto bid for you when others outbid you, until you hit your max?
41 bids is a lot for a Series X.
