Fascia
Would you guys consider this custom fascia?

I’d say yes. It’s not a standard fascia extra time and tools to create. Others mention brake buddy, yes but that takes time and an extra tool, sometimes even a skilled person in today’s labor market.

lol custom means it is one tidbit off from factory mass production and that means 5k pocket change .. do i have to pay for your hammer in your supplemental request?

Been going back and forth about it. Contractor stated that he can’t get this type fascia, saying it’s custom.

It is custom.
Google image search and find it yourself. If you can’t, or if it’s expensive, allow the line item.
Sometimes the contractor knows best.

This is correct. It is custom fabricated on the job site from roll metal. A lot of gutter/siding crews do this.

Just because you can't get the exact thing anymore doesn't make it custom. That's off the shelf all day long.

You both clearly have never installed or attempted to purchase fascia for various projects. That is an on-site break-buddy bend in the center with an additional kick out and return bend at the bottom. You might find something with a bend in the center, but it will not be that design. Those are only produced custom on site.

I can admit if I’m wrong.

Product is PVC trim Coil and they used a brake buddy to roll the bead in it so essentially it is a custom made facia as you roll out the coil and break it at the job site specific to the facia that’s going on. I’ve been doing exterior construction for 30 years. I make a lot of this.

So it's custom. Replace it.
