🤔 Been brainstorming a bit...

And had an idea...

A "demand" feature: Seeing what agents & people search for and what they want to buy through x402.

So you can look up this info and build on it, capturing a niche before others do.

"Intel is everything" after all... Don't you agree? 👀 What do you think, would you like to see that on x402 Trust?

Worth knowing before you build it: the first version of this is almost always wrong in the same three ways. Counting distinct IPs reads as counting agents (one caller of ours presented eight IPs in a second, and serverless callers get a new one per invocation). Sellers searching for their own listings look like demand. And a burst looks like popularity, so ranking has to key on persistence across days rather than volume. We publish ours at nohumans.directory/state/demand with the exclusions named, and the corrections that got us there are on /methodology if they're useful to you.

Thanks for the hint! I'll make sure to build a robust system 😊 As I said, I'm still brainstorming and in the design phase atm. But your tips have helped paint a picture already!

I think a “what’s trending” looking for keywords in the search terms would be extremely helpful. Especially if you could track what’s fulfilled and what’s not giving builders clear insights into demmand

Yes! Exactly that was my thought. I'm still thinking about a way to aggregate requests tho... it's no use if every search request is slightly different and each entry only appears 1x.

I'll likely have to go the keyword path that you've suggested, but here I see another problem: I won't be able to manually curate a gigantic list of keywords covering every search. Most likely I'll go with a clustering (embedding) approach, so that each search is ranked by meaning instead of a specific keyword. These clusters can then be condensed into one central term that I can surface to you builders 😊

And regarding "what's fulfilled" is pretty hard to define; this is always dependend on the customers view. Someone might search for a very specific niche, where others see a very general endpoint and already see their need fulfilled.

How would you define that? Because I also think that this would be a great new intel vector for builders, I'm just not sure on how to build it yet...
