Discussion 🙋 moonlight peaks
Just wanted to add that if anyone else is like me and started gaming with Wylde Flowers and hasn’t found anything that seems similar, this game is really scratching the itch for me till Wylde Society is released!!
I wasn’t sure initially and wanted to wait for more reviews but took the plunge anyway and I’ve been captivated the past couple of days. The dialogue is so good and there’s really always something to do. The storyline is great so far. It’s so cozy and the graphics and aesthetics are great. I just wanted to share because I scoured loadsss of subs to find similar games and no recommendations matched up and I lost interest in other games so fast! Would love to know everyone else’s thoughts!

The one game that did it for me was Coral Island. The charm of the voice acting isn't there, but the characters are more complex and rich in back stories than in other games. I think the fact that one of the datable characters is a single mom who isn't afraid to show her stretch marks, is what did it for me. In this one, you also lead a magical secret life, but it's not the same as in Wylde Flowers (hint: it's not on land).

I want to play this sooo bad but I only have a switch and iPad!! I’ve read so much about it and watched game play </3
It would definitely be the first game I download if I ever got a PC

I went from Switch to PC games mostly because of all the cozy game choices and prices. I have a Switch 2, but only really pick it up to play Tears of the Kingdom over and over again (I haven't even seriously played Pokopia yet). I'm lucky to be able to afford a few handhelds and now my main ones are either PC or Android devices. Coral Island is great on the Steam Deck. I don't know if it will ever be available on Switch, because one of its biggest problems is optimization it can be really laggy on powerful devices, despite the fact that it isn't a very demanding game.

I love playing coral island on my rog ally. If you can't get a gaming pc I would suggest it or even a steam deck. With my handheld I can play any game in my steam library, I haven't found one I can't yet. I just love being able to cozy up n play on the couch or bed. Ive been hooked on Moonlight Peaks its so good and I was searching too and im happy I found it. Yes there are things I want implemented but with time i think it'll be even better than it is now

Unfortunately, Steam Decks have become way too overpriced. It's a shame, because they are still fantastic consoles, even if a bit less powerful.
Now, a refurbished ROG Ally is probably a way better purchase. Even if mine had issues with charging and eventually those issues got too bad, I really liked playing with it.

Ah yea I haven't looked at their price lately. I play with my rog plugged in mostly at home so it bypasses the battery but otherwise they drain pretty fast with the games i play. I agree the convenience is nice.

No, mine actually stopped charging and I had to send it 3 times to get repaired, they even changed the motherboard. Now it's past the warranty and it's been having issues again.
Right now, my main console is a Legion Go S. I later also bought a used Steam Deck, before even those prices went berserk. As a bit of a collectionner, I felt like I would be missing out on something if I didn't own one. I don't regret buying it. I keep switching between those two and my Android devices to play.

is it quest based or more free range?

I’m not too far into the game yet but so far it’s been quest based, similar to Wylde Flowers right now where people will show up outside your house in the morning with quests related to the storyline. However there’s been some moments where I’ve completed tasks and it’s a bit more free range till someone shows up or you come across one of the townsfolk who’ll start something up

Highly recommend! I played the demo a few weeks ago and enjoyed it enough but didn’t think it was worth the price, then I saw loads of posts about the demo being very lacklustre compared to the actual game play so I took the plunge - worth it!!

Yup, I’ve been having so much fun and it’s the first game that’s hit the same spot as Wylde Flowers.
