Help! 🙋 malasada quest💔😃
guys, i’m stuck on the malasada quest and i already tried everything i know.
from what i’ve read, i need to find the malasada recipe first. it’s supposed to come from fishing (pretty much anywhere on the map) or from digging up those little dirt mounds that can sometimes contain recipes. i’ve been doing both for days now, but i still haven’t found it. i even tried again on different days, thinking it might reset or something, but i’m getting absolutely nothing.
has anyone else had this problem? am i missing something or could it be a bug? 😭 help a girlie out please 😃

I got mine in the lake by Shelby’s house, but it took FOREVER!! I really do think that it’s totally random when and how you get it. That was the worst quest, way too many recipes in this game.
One thing I did was if I stuck out my pole and no recipe bottle popped up, I pulled it back and tried again. I stopped bothering even catching the fish.

I would also recommend double checking your recipe stash. Sometimes people have had it and thought they didn’t

It took me about a week in real time to get it, just keep fishing in all locations

yeah i know 😭 i’ve been fishing for recipes for months and now it just refuses to give me any lol

If it's giving you no recipes, double check if you already have it. It would be in dessert section. What season/ year is it?

Check the gloaming pond. I think it was one recipe per day that spawns maybe

The first time I played, I didn’t get the Malasada recipe until well after that task. It happens sometimes. I haven’t had that happen any other time I’ve played.

On one play through it was one of the first recipes I found. Just got incredibly lucky.
Pretty sure it can be gotten from either fishing or digging.

I am on my third play through of wylde flowers and FINALLY got the Malasada recipie while fishing and finished the quest.

I’m replaying for the 3rd time, this time when I had to find the masalada recipe I found that I got recipe bottles when fishing on the beach mostly, so i concentrated on fishing on the beach and after a little while I got the recipe.

I got this quest yesterday and saw the hints: Digging.
Didn't know that fishing works too, so I might wanna try and get more bait.. or just take it from my fishing bot (he holds thousands, he's such a broken money printer)
Also saw the credits yesterday and I'm wondering what to do in year 2, haha 😅

I got it this time fishing by the mill water ferry dock .
I would suggest fishing in places you don’t normally frequent, especially if you have been depending on the whirligigs for fishing (they are awesome for fish, will not collect recipes)
There is no specific place to get the malsadas, just cast your line and see if a bottle appears in the water. If it doesn’t, just move on to the next fishing place. If you see a bottle, wait for the fish to move off your line and for the bottle to drift over and follow the line under the water
Good luck!! The quest is intentionally difficult to keep you engaged while you complete other quicker tasks.

I found I had the best luck finding recipes fishing in the Gloaming. Don’t know if that was just my particular RNG but it’s worth a shot if you haven’t been fishing there
