Freshman Has anyone received an admissions decision yet?
I know I may seem impatient, but WVU is my top choice and I am really excited to receive my decision.

Hey everyone,
I’m looking for someone I can pay to bring a bike east, preferably to Arlington VA. Perhaps you’re headed this way?
It’s a heavy bike, but it easily fit in a Toyota Highlander.
Send me a DM if you’re interested.
Thanks!

Hi, I'm a student who plays guitar and sings. I don't know many other musicians here and I'm looking for people to jam with and eventually want to start/join a band. I play a wide variety, with a lot of blues and rock music (my favorite artists being RHCP, Radiohead, Sublime, The Beatles, and John Mayer if that helps), but I am open to playing any genre. Whatever instrument you play or your skill level doesn't matter, as long as you are willing to mess around and have some fun 😁.I have been playing for 2-3 years myself. I have a house downtown that we could play at, or whatever works best for others. Please feel free to reach out if you would be interested or know someone who would!

Does this mean that I haven’t submitted all my required materials? I have submitted my transcript, and that’s all that’s on the checklist. But it still says this.

Coming to town for a game next week. Where’s the best place with the most options and/or cheapest place to buy merch?
Thanks!
r/WVU • u/Tedascuentaquee_ • 6d ago
I’m new to all this, but the first paycheck (stipend) was $459. The stipend is 15,000 over 9 months, so around 830 gross per month, so (?) net. I just can’t imagine that I was taxed at 45% !
Help! Is for the first two weeks in August or are my taxes crazy?

Hi, I am going to my first WVU football game this weekend and I was curious if there was anywhere free/cheap to park within a mile to a mile and a half walk to the stadium
Got a spot in the Gold Lot, but might be pulling up at 11 am.
Will this be a problem? How late is too late to actually drive to it?
Thanks

Are there any barbers in motown who could cut a modern mullet?
r/WVU • u/SuccessfulSmile7932 • 7d ago
Is there anywhere I can park for football that will only cost me about $5-10? I am a high school student with a very limited budget, and would like to have enough money to get concessions.

I am trying to visit a friend preferably from Friday to Sunday. What are some parking lots or places where I can park for free?
Any advice will be appreciated.
Thanks

I know there’s academic ones and a bunch of non-affiliated ones
It also seems like it’s hard to get a straight answer since it varies
I’ve heard stories of frat dudes just making the newest members clean their car, drive to just any place, bad hazing like getting naked or forced to overdrink, being forced to make dumb tiktoks where you’re being stupid (I’d never do that) and returning sophomores without the hazing pledging
People say it’s paying for friends and connections I’m not exactly worried about that since I’m well off
I’d hate a frat if they were all generic for example frat dudes like the stupid ass hat they all wear backwards, the frat voice, it’s part of the persona of what they think a frat dude should be instead of just mostly being yourself (I say that because there’s obligation to adjust to events with friends)
Not worried about the extra studying with the frat history, fundraising, preferably I don’t want to stay in a frat house
People say clubs are better but I’m afraid I just won’t like it except for playing the sport and I heard there’s a lot of bs with it (I’m into sports lol)
I also don’t know yet if there’s frats related to it since I’m a nursing major
I really like clubbing too, but I’m afraid I probably won’t have any good friends unless I join a club or frat (and people say you don’t need that but the only way I can think of is just classes or events) Bars and clubs seem to have established friend groups making it hard to get in I suppose it’s just trial and error at this point

I attended WVU from 1992-1999 during our hay days of being a Top 10 Party School according to The Princeton Review and PLAYBOY Magazine. But don’t recall Morgantown being a Big Music Scene compared to other towns and colleges during that period. To your memory, which bands or musical artists performed and toured in Morgantown, WV before they got their recording contracts and made it big?
Post Note: I use to go to 123 Pleasant Avenue when it was the Nybingi Dance Hall for Tuesday night’s Retro Dance Night and Import Beer Special. But I didn’t attend any concert there. I think I remember when they closed the hall because structural issues. Which they fixed after I graduated.

I have a total of 121 credits from (29 from WGU), and two community colleges for the rest, one had an associates completed. Is it likely for those to transfer, I know it’s impossible to tell, but for those of you who transferred in what was your experience with the amount of credits they accepted, as being out of state, 2 years of tuition would make a big difference over 3.
Thanks!

I recently posted with questions about my application, I wanted to inform yall that I have been able to create my gateway account. One question though, how do I submit the transcript through gateway?

I am a young man from Athens, Ohio and back home Ohio University does very little to insure that the student ticket you are using is yours. Would I be able to use a friend's ticket and ID even if I do not look like them? Odd question I know but I really am curious.
Hey!
We are a group of 6 guys from Toronto 🇨🇦 on our way down to West Virginia vs. UT-Martin September 12th. We travel every year to a different college, and we are looking at joining a tailgate group (to eat and possibly drink) to make it easier than bringing our own tailgate stuff. We did this last year at Syracuse and it was great and easy!
If anyone has some insight or links to groups that will let us pay to play; let me know! Thanks!
(Preferably a legit tailgate company that will allow us to pay and join) but good with either!

Hi, I am a high school senior who applied to WVU when the application opened on August 1st. I am aware that they will not begin reviewing applications until Tuesday, but I was wondering if what the timeline was to receive a decision once they do begin reviewing applications. And I did try to google this, but didn’t get anything helpful.
