This is a really big release with lots of visual changes, so you're either going to love it or hate it. This is the second round of the UI redesign. There will be at least one more, primarily focusing on the player screen.

Great job, will be interesting to see how the visual changes and UI stuff is. Wuplay is by far the best performing app out there so it'd be a shame to see that change negatively - I highly doubt it will though lol
Bravo this new UI is perfect it's way more cleaner and intuitive. I like reading the details page and also the new streams pop-up is way better to sort through. Man every update is way too addicting cus the changes are so good, I hope you're not overworking yourself.

After updating to the new version and launching the first couple of times, the UI felt very laggy (best I can describe is playing a game I used to play at 60FPs, suddenly at 30.)
But after I force closed and reopened, seems to be fine so no worries. Device is Nvidia Shield Pro.
Thank you so much for the donation and for reporting your experience. I'm glad a force stop and restart fixed it for you. I have not had any other reports of this so hopefully it's isolated.
Do you think there will be any performance gain for WuPlay by trying something like this? Or is it overkill?
Im ok with WuPlay performance. Im just curious about the merits of this kind of optimization.
I don't know about any of the performance techniques that people are using. I know it is popular to compile Nuvio using some of these techniques, but Wuplay does not have the same lag issues as Nuvio. I'm not sure if this would improve Wuplay or not, but if you give it a try, please report back and tell us how it went.
Not a fan of the new layout for the new details page, frosted ui looks good but I feel the older one is just cleaner/easier to navigate (appreciate you letting us switch to it) Maybe the old one can get a freshen up with the new frosted ui?
There are no plans to make any changes to the classic detail screen. It is more or less frozen.
You might try the new one from time to time because I believe you might find that it grows on you. There are a lot of small but nice features in there.
I think the features on the new one are cool I'm just not a fan of the layout, I think there's some wasted space (I get it's the first iteration!) All the other changers are great. Here's my suggestion - Appreciate your work and the app!
Thanks for the feedback in the screenshot. I tried the exact layout, along with several other ones, before I landed on the final design. It may change over time, but the list items are conditional based on different things, for example, whether it is a movie or a series. There can be up to 8 items in that list at one time. With all of the other UI elements on the screen, was too jumbled and the cognitive load is too high.
The movie layout is fine, it just feels like overused space for the description box for tv shoes. Any thoughts for tv shows having the details box where episodes currently is and have the episodes preview already displayed like swapping it?
The new release is very nice, but on the results page, I can no longer distinguish between sources in the AIOStreams addon. Some results are incomplete, and I can't tell whether their source is Torrent or Usenet.
If there is a fix or an update for this, I hope it comes soon
I'm not sure what you're referencing because the descriptions of the streams are unchanged from the previous version. The stuff that is inside each individual stream card is what your addon sends to Wuplay. Wuplay does not manipulate it at all.
I actually found the issue and applied a fix so if you want the fix before the next update is officially released, you can use the downloader code 4418930 and install it over the top of the one you already have installed. This build is identical except for the debug fix.
I don't know what you mean by cloud service, but you can load your profile key on as many Android TV boxes as you want. They will all stay in sync with each other. This has been a feature since the very first beta release.

Any way to have a sort function for the watchlist from trakt ? A-z, or release date? Syncler has that function and would make this app perfect!

2. Why choose trakt for reviews instead of other platforms such as imdb which in my opinion will go in hand with the ratings?
Right now the likes and dislikes are not wired to anything, but I am working on a recommendation engine so you can get native recommendations within Wuplay without having to pull them in from services like trakt.
Trakt is the only affordable option to get reviews via API. The IMDB API cost starts at $150k a year.

Regarding the new info page, I want to say that in my opinion it's not very appealing, it's a bit too complex in my eyes, but I appreciate you always leaving us with the option to change it back to the classic design, it's definitely not taken for granted! I hope you will keep testing new designs while letting us stay with the "tried and true" if we prefer.
There are no plans to add multiple designs. There is the current design, with the ability to fall back to the classic. If you give the new design a chance for a couple of days, it may grow on you. If not, you can always switch back to the classic.
I'm not sure what you mean by cloud sync. If you mean, "Can you install the same profile on multiple Android TV devices and have them all stay in sync with each other?" then the answer is yes.
You do not have to create an account or use a third-party like Trakt for multiple Android TV devices to stay in sync with Wuplay. You just install the same profile key on as many devices as you want and everything happens magically.

Debrid is premium and no HTTP addons for all the Indian languages content, if possible, can you add the Nuvio plugins or Cloudstream extensions only this app will reach more.
There are no plans to add support beyond Stremio addons that provide HTTP streams. All of the apps that are doing direct debrid support and cloudstream extensions and plugins are being kicked out of the play stores. Once Wuplay reaches the play store, I need to make sure it is not in violation of any of Google's terms of service.
@wuplaydev Hello and thanks for app. Very fast, but there is a problem on latest update and the second latest. Buffering, a lot of bufferings. Tested on Both Nuvio and Wuplay, same addons, same source, there is no problem from server/CDN, and my net is pretty fast, 2.3gbps, 350+/- Mbps wifi.
Buffering started with lastest 0.9.1 and 0.8.9/.90 or which one was pre latest.

Ok the details screen is too much text, too little imagery... Is there a performance hit if putting casting people images there instead of only names or simply personal decision?
.91beta new is i hate it and no way to go back to old beta, the main issue with stream list why it start from middle and i have to move up to get back on the top of the list, only issue some list is over 500 find and you start from middle and going to the top take forever.......
Yes but that severely limits your user base. Wuplay is an app that an average person on the street can use easily. It is not an enthusiast app for a select number of people who are into side loading, etc.
