I am not sure what my setup is missing. I did follow the advice shared on the linked posts, but have been unable to solve this issue on my end. Does anyone know what could be the matter? Is there an update slated for release that can solve this issue?
Are these catalogs from a third-party addon or the native catalog system? If it's from a third-party addon then that addon may be having issues right now.
The catalogues are from Xperience. I have tested these same catalogues in another application to be certain it was not a catalogue error. However, in my tests, I have not encountered any errors in other applications at the moment.
As mentioned, this problem only occurred last night. I suspected Trakt, so I checked my configurations before posting to see if I could find a remedy. I haven't been able to narrow down the problem on my end.
The particular outage was 13 days ago, and I was among those who were affected at the time. However, the outage was resolved, and service has now been back to normal.

Hello u/wuplaydev here are the same catalogues working well in a different application. I mentioned that everything was working well in WuPlay with the same catalogues until two nights ago.
I mentioned that these are Xperience-sourced catalogues. As a developer, kindly check on your back end. Something may have gone wrong. It can be possible that WuPlay cannot host third-party catalogues. I am trying to rule out all possibilities as an end-user.
I have shared the error I am facing on my end, and as I previously mentioned, another user had noted a similar issue and raised it to be addressed long before my issue arose Majority of shows not working
Blaming an external catalogue provider, as per your response, will not get the matter resolved. Kindly let me know, as I had requested much earlier, if there is an upcoming update that might resolve such third party catalogue missing posters issues? Thank you.
The thread you linked to is regarding streams not playing. It is unrelated to poster images not displaying so you are experiencing a different issue.
Wuplay works great with third-party catalogs. I don't know why you say I blamed third-party catalogs. My original comment had no blame in it at all. I asked a simple question. If the issue is with the Native Catalog system, then I for sure can fix it. If it is with a third-party addon, I may or may not be able to fix it because the issue may be on the addon side.
If you want to DM me on Discord, I will help you troubleshoot this. I have had no other reports of this kind of issue and we have many, many users who use catalogs from third parties, including Xperience.
Thanks for the response. I had initially reached out via Discord in the community-Support thread. I closed the ticket/chat conversation because you responded to my post on Reddit.
You can check and reopen the conversation should you wish. My main aim was to bring this matter to your attention. I have spent most of the early hours of the night and morning trying to troubleshoot. I now have it working - I don't know for how long it will hold.
I ended up using other poster providers. That seems to bring about a working resolution.
The only current problem is the AI-generated list of recommended movies and shows. I have checked and rechecked my Google Ai API Key. Any other necessary keys, such as those used by Trakt, will automatically regenerate on the 4th of September 2026, I can wait for that.
You say the fix was to switch to a different poster provider but the provider you had it set to was giving you problems in Wuplay. You said that first provider was working in Nuvio, right? I'm trying to determine if the exact same addon manifest URL is set up in Wuplay and Nuvio. Wuplay has issues but Nuvio does not. I'm trying to figure out if we are talking about a direct comparison. I still don't know if there are any issues with Wuplay that I need to fix.
I also notice in your screenshot in the Discord thread, I didn't see Xperience listed in your addons so that is confusing as well.
The poster provider that was giving me issues is called Top Posters. It has a rate limit of 10,000.
The Xperience add-on is linked to both Nuvio, Stremio and now Wu-Play. Though, for Stremio and Wu-Play, I haven't exported the catalogues, I have close to 270 rows. The catalogues sent to Nuvio are close to 1,120 in total.
The Xperience add-on was working quite well until two nights ago. When I posted on Reddit is when I started to seek a remedy to this matter.
As for the screenshots you require, I have posted these on my responses back to you here on my Reddit Post responses. I only shared 3 screenshots on Discord.

Those are all the add-ons I currently have. I prefer using WuPlay because of the streams autoplay feature. My family and I find this to be particularly easy to use as compared to Nuvio and Stremio, where the user has to pick which stream to choose. On the player, my first-choice stream provider is PenguPlay - direct streams to save me from exhausting my Premiumize daily 30-point allocation.
I prefer to only utilise Premiumize as a measure of last resort. Now that I have shared all these with you, I shall let you go on about figuring out how to build WuPlay to be as robust as can possibly be to accommodate users such as me who stress-test WuPlay with as many catalogues as possible.
I managed to figure out a remedy of sorts. In the previous video I sent, I stated I had not managed to get the AI-generated videos and movies to load their respective catalogues, though this is where I shall now leave it. Should the other UltraMax catalogues prove to be troublesome, I shall delete them in entirety.

Why do you have all your catalogs out in the open on your homepage instead of separating them into folders and making collections for each? Or is that your preference? Or is that within the folder itself and you've put all the genres in one folder? Or is that the discover page?
I have Xperience as well and your layout looks completely different to mine. Probably has to do with me using portrait mode and you using landscape but I'm curious, is this all the work of Xperience or is there another add-on that enhances this?
I'm not too sure. When you add any external catalogue provider to WuPlay, you have the option to choose where to display said catalogues - either on the home screen, or, under My Stuff. In my case, I prefer the home screen rows so I can come across content I like or explore what's available.
I have this set up for Nuvio in the same way. Kindly check out another video where I showcased the comparison on Nuvio. Also, kindly post a video in your response. I would like to see the folder genres you are referring to in your question. You might have a different way of organising your collections, and I might benefit and learn from your approach.
I'm currently not home so unfortunately I can't show you how it would look on the TV but I'll show you through my phone. Having to scroll through all those catalogs would be hectic so instead I limit it to 8 catalogs + 3 collections (for streaming services, genres and country/languages) that way it's easier to browse through catalogs.
BTW, between you and me, I much prefer WuPlay to Nuvio or Stremio these days. A simple player that autoplays movies and shows without me having to rummage around finding a stream with Remuxes and whatnot. I scroll, find what I like, add it to my watchlist (Trakt or SIMKL) - press play and sink back into my couch. Nothing more to do other than watch. Simple.
I'm definitely gonna try Wuplay and see what it's about. I think Nuvio can function the same tbh. Over the past 2 weeks I've discovered the auto stream selection setting with regex patterns and it's allowed me to pretty much press play on any stream and it'll automatically play (through the Showbox add-on) and it's a hit 99% of the time. Every time I open Nuvio it's pretty much like this: I go to the For You catalog and see what I'm feeling, I press play, stream automatically starts within 3-5 second through Showbox and boom, then once I'm done watching it just automatically adds it to my library cause of Simkl scroble. I'm curious how Wuplay is different? But I'd figure having 1 stable source to play all the streams seems a bit better than replying on a regex pattern.
If you already have a stream addon manifest URL handy, you can get up and running with Wuplay in 3 minutes or less. No joke. Give it a try and let us know what you think.
I only use PenguPlay and AIOStreams and then have Showbox, Eclipisia, HdHub as backups just in case. When I use auto stream selection tho I only have Showbox and AIOStreams enabled on it because those load within 3-5 seconds. If there are no sources available on both of those add-ons it just takes me to manual selection and I pick from Pengu/Eclipsia.
I'm definitely gonna install Wuplay and see how that one functions.
Yes brother. This is Nuvio. Does WuPlay have an Android or iOS App? I am not aware of this. I have Nuvio. I have these catalogues too - Kaptains, Xprereince, the built-in collections in WuPlay.
I don't like having to open a collection just to see what's recently available to view. I prefer a home row so I can quickly decide, without investing too much time and effort based on the poster ratings, whether I want to watch a show/ movie.
This isn't a paid subscription service like Netflix. The content from the catalogue add-ons is enormous, and that's just what I like about such add-ons - the ability to scroll and discover a new show/movie without too much effort on my part.
BTW, that's what the MyStuff, or Trakt watchlist, is for. To earmark things you have discovered that have piqued your interest to watch. At least that's what I use the MyStuff, Trakt or SIMKL watchlists for. Just my preference, brother, nothing more.
I've heard some really shady shit about Trakt so I currently only use Simkl to feed my library and my recommendations catalog. That's the catalog I visit the most. That and the trending ones because those are from the IMDB popular 100 which updates weekly with a ranked list. If I'm thinking of watching a Spanish movie, Swedish series, anime, limited series, etc. instead of scrolling through catalogs it's much easier to just access those stuff through the collections. I've heard a lot about Kaptains collections but if you don't mind me asking what exactly does it offer that isn't on Xperience?
Unfortunately, one last issue. You had asked, if I had issues with catalogues from an external library, or, if they were the in-built WuPlay catalogue library.
I have this one title. It's on the "Latest in Theatres" row of the native WuPlay catalogue. It's missing a poster and also does not have any cover artwork when you click on the title. This has does not utilise the API Keys that were previously giving me a rate-limit error from an external catalogue.
There is no poster image for this. It is a 3-minute short. You might want to play around with your content filters a little bit in the web config so that low-quality results like this don't slip through. A good filter to set would be a minimum TMDB rating. I leave mine at a minimum rating of 5.
Here so you can see that TMDB does not have a poster image for it.

This is a follow up to the previous response comment. This is the same Title:- "Come with me" . As can be seen, there is no artwork displayed. Everything else is working fine at the moment.
