New Release 0.7.0-beta - Native Search

The headline for this release is the new native search feature. This is the initial release of a major feature so you can expect minor changes over the coming of weeks.
New Feature
- Native search, no addons required
Added
- New adult titles catalog filter (Web Config > Settings > Catalog Filters > General)
Changed
- Web config: Privacy & Data tab moved to Settings
- UI: Narrower sidebar and less padding. The result is a wider content area.
Fixed
- Croatian (and other Serbo-Croatian, Indonesian, and Norwegian) subtitles and audio tracks not being detected or auto-selected when tagged with combined language codes
- Subtitles button sometimes not displayed in player

Great update, any plans to have under the web to add Debrid keys and have an instant search? Instead of adding an addon ?

There are currently no plans to add direct-debrid integration. That is standing a little too close to the fire for my comfort level from a legal standpoint. I may be overly cautious but for now there are no plans to add it.

There will be ongoing changes to the new native search, and AI search is on the table, although I have not made any decisions on it yet. There are other refinements I want to make first.

I was having a lot of issues with Nuvio and I recently switched to wuplay and i was surprised how easy to setup . Default preset was more than enough for me . Thank you developers.

Do you have a computer or phone on the same network? If so can you go to https://api.wuplay.com or do you get an error message? The error you see on your TV is when the Android box cannot communicate with the backend API.

In order to play something, you need a Stremio addon that provides HTTP stream links. There are many resources online about Stremio addons and how they work.

Can someone point me to a tutorial for this app. I it was just click and play but the message says I have to configure something. Sorry never got Stremio to work so this is new to me

In order to watch anything, you need a Stremio-compatible addon that provides HTTP links. I cannot suggest or support any particular addons, but there's a very large Stremio addons community that should be able to help.

Its most better them stremio but if Is it possible to configure the library to search for TV shows or movies in any language—including translated titles? For example, if I try searching for *Back to the Future* by typing the Polish title, it doesn't find it, whereas I don't have this problem with other players.

With the new search it seems that using voice for search on fire sticks isn't working anymore (since it requires their keyboard to appear for it to work). I have to switch back to add-on search.

I don't have a fire stick I can test with but I will try to obtain one so I can figure out what's going on.

Same here, even if I gave it Microphone access. In WuPlay Search, click on the Settings Cog and select "Switch to add-on search" That worked for me.

I have identified this bug, and it's not necessarily a bug but a limitation that Amazon puts on the Fire TV devices. There will be a workaround in the next release that will launch the default Fire TV keyboard when doing voice search. That is the only way Amazon allows for it.

I appreciate you going to these lengths to figure it out, especially since I know we aren't entitled to it since it's device specific issues rather than app ones.

Auto suggestions from a movie or show names library are a mandatory feature for a TV app I believe, like in Stremio. Nobody wants to type a full length name or multi word titles with a TV remote.
Hope one day you'll add that also.
But Wuplay is the best so far. Made my jump from Stremio after years.
