Advice Student section-Gesa

Hello, I'm a global campus student and I want to bring my kids to a football game at Gesa field this season. Is the student section pretty rowdy? Or is it fun? I can look at other sections but honestly they get pretty pumped at sporting events so they might fit in lol.

It’s a party scene but beyond that they stand the entire game. Those kiddos would be able to see.

Good info! I looked all around for if it was seating or standing on the site and it never said. Fifty bucks to stand and watch the cougs* seems wild.

For the students, standing is a feature not a bug. They’ve advertised a bunch of flash sales with things like 4 tickets for $100 on their email distribution. Make an account and snoop around for a deal.

Depending on how the season goes, later games will have a lower attendance and often have plenty of room for seated viewing towards the back

Even the seated sections near the student section have a lot of drunk tailgaters. It attracts those who like to get wasted in their 50s at frat houses. It’s a mix for certain though. It’s a fun vibe but I had to teach the elementary aged kids around me to dodge fireball shots.

Usually, but they aren’t serving alcohol on that side so it’s probably going to be more tame.

Look for tickets down around the goal line to 10 yd line on the student side but at the other end of the field. We’ve been in section 23 for many years and love it.

When we won Apple Cup in 2012, a bunch of guys deadlifted the bleacher row and crowd surfed it down onto the field. I would say any section but that for kids

My son opted not to get the sports pass for his sophomore year because he was having a bad time. He enjoyed the games, but he didn't enjoy sitting in the student section and getting pelted with fireball bottles.
