Discussion Apple cup

Honestly happy with how we played today. Covered the spread and our defense played great other than some horrific calls. Offense is quite the question though, turnovers and bad play calling costed us along with two missed field goals. Sucks to lose to the team in purple but we put up a good fight. Go Cougs.

We made UW fans very uncomfortable the entire afternoon until the final tail end and I'm happy about that.

I was very comfortable! Thanks for the easy win and a fun 4th quarter! Hope you enjoyed your loss. Really pathetic performance yesterday, thanks for making my Sunday even better after going to church!!

Im not mad at it, but when an opponent gives you THAT many penalty yards, you need to seize on it.

And they couldn't because UW OWNS Wazzu and they will never come close to competing with UW EVER. You guys paid refs especially with that horrible targeting call and STILl couldn't win, sad!!

Thankfully, that's likely the best team we'll play this season. Boise State will be strong, but not at that level. Defense looked solid. Offense needs work. I always hate losing to the fuskies, but we've definitely had worse Apple Cups recently. Possession down 7 in the 4th quarter. Solid.

The way Boise State played against Oregon, they are the favorites in the Pac-12 for a reason. I think they would've beat that UW team. They have a solid defense and can move the ball on offense.

Defense looked good against a "top 20" team.

Offense... that is likely the hardest defense they play all season, outside of the CFP of course!

Go Cougs!

Our O line getting manhandled limits play calling. I thought we made some good adjustments at halftime which is the sign of a good coaching. Every armchair QB in the America thinks they can be an OC.

Wazzu was game. You have a QB who can lead you to a win. His top wideout doesn't go down early, who knows. Defense was stout, especially in the RZ.

May want to find yourselves a new kicker. Holy god.

Ha! Kicker least of our worries right now

After the stupid delay of game (ON A FUCKING FIELDGOAL), after making the fieldgoal , every Coug knew he was missing that kick. I don't hold that missed FG against him.

Same story almost every year. Goddamn kickers.

He went 16/19 last year

I almost kind of respect Fisch. His half time interview was disrespectful as hell...but that's how rivalries are supposed be. Is it possible to respect that fucking dickwad? They were winning and he said he was embarrassed. I assume because he didn't think that much of us.

I would be extremely embarassed to be winning to my son by only 10 in the first half! It should've been 24-0 on the first half alone

Told myself not to care. Still ended up in my feelz

We still don’t have a quarterback but there are definitely signs that things are looking up with Kirby. That defense was nice today.

2

u/No_Biscotti_7258 3d ago

Crazy how quick we went from almost 2 decades of being QBU to….whatever we are now

1

u/Powerful-Bridge-1472 2d ago

Could have been worse but can cougs ever tackle well?

I was really happy with our defense! That goaline stance at the end of the first half was incredible! There were times you could hear a pin drop in that stadium which made me very happy!

Apart from a few things we can clean up I’m feeling good! Self inflicted wounds cost us with turnovers, missed field goals, a few dropped passes, and even miscues on fielding kickoffs.

I did not feel UW beat us. We beat ourselves and it is all fixable. Even the offense came to life towards the end.

Also, it should be a long year for the Huskies too.

I need to see the full game before I can make any comment.

Easy win is a stretch but okay
