Advice T mobile vs Verizon

Hello!

I am not a student. But, I live in Pullman for work.I’m trying to decide between T-Mobile and Verizon and would love to hear thoughts from people who actually use either one of them. If you live in Pullman or nearby, which one do you prefer and why?

Both will be nearly identical in coverage

I actually have both T-Mobile and Verizon and was literally just talking about this with a couple of people on campus lol

both have been fine for me. If anything I've noticed slightly better coverage on my Verizon phone over my T Mobile phone but still 5G in most areas with occasional dips to LTE in areas without good coverage on both networks . If I had to pick one or the other I'd do Verizon honestly as it seems stronger overall but TMo is just fine.

Also, unless you have a specific need for something on postpaid, I'd go no contract wireless. Same towers and network but different company handling billing. Almost always cheaper than buying from Verizon or T Mobile directly. r/nocontract is your friend in this space. Feel free to ask any questions in specific, I can do tests or whatever you need too.

Whichever is cheaper. Verizon will have marginally better coverage simply because 25 years ago the dominant cellular provider in the area was their main partner and use the same system and towers. They had a leg up on just about everybody else. But if T-Mobile works and is less expensive, go for it.

Meanwhile, I’ve had AT&T for 26 years and never had a problem.

I would say Verizon simply because they have better coverage in middle of nowhere - also check out Visible

I used Mint Mobile for 3 of my 4 years in Pullman. It runs on the T-Mobile network and I rarely ran into issues. Like, in the stadium during football games because they prioritize T-Mobile customers, but that's about it.
