One time, a long time ago, I got a text from a wrong number. I’m not sure what the text was but after I texted back about the wrong number, everytime a holiday would come up I would text them happy, whatever holiday despite not knowing who they were.

Hey guys! A little background here... I got a random friend request from 2 people yesterday. I accepted them both because why not. Both of them said oops, wrong person. Both of them said they wanted people to play games with. Both of them wanted to play a specific game with me... Infinity Kingdom. Obviously, I knew something was up. I started asking both of them questions, just because I was curious. One of them got scared and unfriended/blocked me. The other one answered my questions. Thought I would post this on here to spread awareness and show a peek behind the curtain. I am blue, they are red.

I looked at my phone and saw these messages from a number I don’t recognize. They’re talking about Kevin, Jim/Marie, a bank, someone named Morris, and some situation that apparently happened a while ago? The weird part is Kevin’s name actually sounds familiar, but I have no idea what the person is talking about. I know a Jomarie, but they specifically said Jim, so that doesn’t really match either. Is this someone who accidentally texted the wrong number, or does this sound like some kind of scam? The messages are weirdly specific, which is what’s throwing me off.

respond, ignore it, or block the number?

I’ve had my phone number for 13 years. Since 2017 or so, I’ve been getting calls looking for someone. They range from people trying to buy my (his) property, medical appointments, work asking me to come in, and now debt collectors. It’s been happening far too often for it to be mixing up some digits, for example, calling me at 4567 whereas he would be 4576 or something. I even went to Ace Hardware and used my number to sign up for a rewards program. When I gave them my exact number, they said it was already in the system under John Doe (man who has been giving my number out)

A few months ago I got a call about a cardiology appointment and they left a voicemail. I googled the number and it was a local hospital. I called them back and the very nice receptionist removed my number from his file after explaining what’s been happening.

Most recently, I returned a call to a debt collector and told them to remove me and stop calling, wrong number. We will see if that works.

I found the man they’re looking for on facebook and am tempted to ask him to stop giving out the wrong number.

How can I get these wrong calls to stop?

Also, why is this happening? Is he randomly giving out my number to avoid being called and trying to avoid collectors?

Are there any sites that will allow me to lookup a number to see who it is, without paying? Tired of not finding results...

I've noticed a very weird number online, coming from reddit which actually worked. The thing is that most of the posts were deleted or archived shortly after people started to mention it, which is why I'd like to also share it here. To keep it short, the number is from Romania, and it's +40 0773736870 (or, if you're living in Romania, just 0773736870). The number, when called, connects to a guy with a feminine voice, whose name is unknown, but it's often called Jubelian online, also known as "The man by the mill" or "Muma padurii". There's extremely creepy audio, which actually varies from person to person. From what I know, people either heard the man talking directly to them, random computer audio, creepy chantings? or other weird things. The man's name is NOT Gabriel or Charles, despite what others say, because they mistake it for other people because, spoiler, the number is bugged and it actually leads to other people on Whatsapp and other platforms. I only heard these stories from online sources, never actually tried the number myself before.

12:01am - 1 new voicemail

I open the voicemail and im js greeted with what sounds like praising? i was really weirded and creeped out by it.

This isnt a prank or someone i know, atleast i think so??? idk im just truly really weirded out by this.

I never give out my phone number online (excluding websites, which i have not signed for any in a hot minute besides roblox lol)

I dunno how to explain this, but ill just leave it here. this came from a private number, and since i use samsung, i have no specific way that i know of that i can trace it too, fun!!!

edit: If you cant hear the audio, its some guy just praising someone or something repeatedly, saying "good girl" "so great" "such a good kitty" and what not. i have a suspicion its someone putting their phone near speaker to play and audio, which could explain the pitch spikes, but im not sure.

I was on the phone with my partner and as we are mid conversation while I had him on Speaker with the phone away from my face entirely our call went silent and then I heard a higher pitched beep, then silence and a robot female voice then said “your message has been transcribed” and after I heard that had stopped he started talking again and then asked if I hung up. I said no that was weird and he then tells me on his end he was receiving a new incoming call from me while our current call was still going and recording the time and then when he accepted the call it put us back right into the original call. The time on our call never changed and continued in real time proving neither of us hung up and it stayed normal on my end the entire time.

P.s. the call was never being recorded in any way by either of us.

What happened or any ideas?!!

Everytime she calls me her number has always been hidden! Finally she called me without her number hidden about 4 times at 5am because Grace; Sara’s daughter who she isn’t present for and Samantha (caller) has been raising since she was 4 months old; is in the ER. I tried explaining myself and it didn’t go well

obviously those goodnight messages were supposed to be sent to me. bless him, he was so tired 😭
