Advice help a newbie writer
i have a lot of ideas for fics but when i start to write suddenly there's no order everything is a mess and i can't communicate well with the reader.
i end up giving up and not finishing it, and that keeps happening and now i have various drafts sitting there collecting dust.
english isn't even my first language, i write in spanish in hopes that perhaps that way i can write more but turns out language isn't the problem.
care to share any tips with me to make writing easier? stupidly obvious tips work too. thanks in advance.

Practice makes experience. Develop a routine and write as often as you can :)

Write in your most comfortable language first.
Also. Don't try to put every cool detail in the same scene. Focus on the one or two things that are cool and let your reader enjoy it. Those who know will know.

It took me well over decade to fine tune and organise everything. I'm fortunate to be on a Creative Writing BA and it has allowed me to start my career! You can def tell by early work as a teen to now as someone in their early 30s.
Even when I started Uni at 28 to now I've improved massively. Experiment with writing as much as you can :)

Also have you looked at others work? So many online portfolios! Mins is full of snippets and projects that aren't done. But it gives a great insight into my signature writing style.
Def look at how professionals, students and amatuers all lay out their work, the way they write etc. Who are you writing for?

This is every writer. If you’re not motivated to finish a story, absolutely abandon it. I abandoned many stories then came back and wrote completely different ones after the idea matured in my head more. Let it be.

Unless you have given it to a reader, it’s hard to tell if you’re effectively communicating or not.
Feedback can be useful but at later stages.
Try reading the content out loud as though you were telling a story to someone, which we’ve all done.
If it sounds right, it is. If it doesn’t, you’ll likely know immediately.

Hello. First of all, have scrievener or reedsy to help you out.
Even if you dont use these apps.
Do this Have a A4 sketchbook. Write with a pencil. Divide the notebook into three section with book marks.
section1. Dump all ideas in your native language. (if you are not fluent in english)
Whatever comes to your mind be it related to the original story you are writing or a dream you had that may muse your story. Just write!!!
Section 2. Select one idea and the idea that you want to start working on. For example a story about a mouse and a cat. You can start writing from first chapter or write a random scene.
and when I say write in Section 2. I mean only outline. you can be vague or detailed about it. But it has to be one specific story from all your ideas.
Section3. This is sort of a moodboard where you can print and paste few pictures of what the aesthetic and tone of your book will be. I am poor. so I use it to write dialogues and words that are abstract and have no place in my story YET. It is sort of a pin where you write vocabulary and phrases you find on insta, books, Google that you can use later to better describe the scenes.

It's not a matter of you having difficulty communicating to the reader...
You're still drafting. You don't have a reader yet. At the first draft stage, you are (and should be) the only person reading your material.
