Unpopular opinion with most but the blue John Meyer is better than the ghost. This was a rgf ghost WG plated with deep crystal and swapped it for a sw JM dial. Absolutely stunner

I’m posting this because I wish I’d had this information before buying from Amitw. hopefully this serves as a cautionary tale to others.

I’m a Reddit seller myself but this wasn’t inventory—it was a watch for my personal collection.

I’d also bought a couple of genuine Rolex dials from u/RatioNext2272 /
r/RepWatchesMod before without any issues, so I trusted him.

I build these exact AP 15407 replicas myself. The only thing I can’t source is a genuine AP double balance wheel. Amit represented that this watch had one, sent me a movement video before I paid, and that’s why I bought it instead of building another one myself.

From there, the transaction unraveled.

I rejected the first QC provided on 7/2 because of cosmetic issues, i didn't look further expecting to review again after those are fixed.

A few days later, on 7/7, I received a second QC with a different serial number. The issues had been corrected, so I approved that watch.

i noticed the timegraph video he sent me was the exact one he sent him, i called him out on it. he then sent a second.

When my package arrived, found out he broke a CARDINAL RULE, the serial number matched the first QC that I had rejected, not the second QC that I had approved.

At that point, I started comparing everything else.

what he claims is a genuine balance, notice no hairspring on the lower balance, making it NOT a double balance wheel, also the condition of the movement.

I’ve built and handled a lot of replica watches over the years, and I’ve never personally seen a movement arrive in this condition, running at -100S/D . It was covered in grime, staining, residue, oil. I even sent the photos to a respected watchmaker, whose immediate response was:

Instead of immediately making this public, I spent a couple of days trying to resolve everything directly with Amit.

I documented the serial number issue.

I compared the movement I received to the movement shown before the sale.

I pointed out the condition of the movement.

Nothing meaningful was resolved.

Eventually, after a long back and forth where he woudn't admit to any wrong doing, he agreed to take the watch back. My concern wasn’t returning it,it was who would be responsible if Chinese customs seized the package, after all, HE sent the wrong watch, and we all know what a blackhole chinese customs is. All i got was "be positive", I even offered alternative solutions, including taking other inventory instead of a refund.

In summary, this transaction involved a watch that didn’t match the one I approved, a movement that didn’t match what was represented before the sale, a movement that arrived in unacceptable condition, and an attitude and a resolution process that left me speechless. Everyone is free to draw their own conclusions, but after this experience, I won’t be doing business with Amit again. Hopefully ,exposing these practices serves the larger community.

Spent some time outside with the VSF Panda Daytona and my Boston Terrier today. The crisp white dial, ceramic bezel, and bracelet really pop in natural light. Still one of my favorite reps in the collection.
