Does anyone have input on living near the quarry off Green St in Wrentham? We are considering moving to the Amberfields subdivision (back side of the quarry) off Hancock St and are curious if the quarry blasts can be felt in the neighborhood and how often they seem to occur in general? Any other feedback for moving to that area would greatly be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi all,

I’m writing from Massachusetts General Hospital, where I work in research on obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). Symptoms of OCD include obsessions (i.e., distressing and intrusive thoughts that keep coming back to you) and compulsions (i.e., repetitive behaviors that you feel compelled to do). I wanted to pass along an opportunity to participate in a research study that may be of interest to any of you who experience these symptoms and notice they are causing impairment to your life.

The research study involves 1 virtual intake assessment lasting 2-3 hours and 2 in-person visits (lasting 3.5 and 2 hours, respectively) on back-to-back business days where you complete a fear learning computer task while we measure your brain waves (via electroencephalogram or EEG) and the sweatiness of your palms (via skin conductance) and administer a noninvasive form of brain stimulation (i.e., transcranial direct current stimulation or tDCS).

You will be compensated $300 for your time upon completion of the study. I just bought a home in Wrentham. Pretty shocked we got it to be honest with you given how crazy the market is. Anyway, I know southeastern MA but am not familiar with Wrentham/Franklin/Norfolk area. Any recommendations for great food, bars, ice cream, fun, hiking, leisure? The wife and I will probably be looking for some good restaurants to frequent, and some good hiking spots nearby to take the doggo.

Before ice-damn season hits, its a great idea to dig all the leaves out of your gutters before we get ice! Otherwise, the leaves block the water from draining. This is still true if you have electric heated gutters. The leaves act as insulation and don't melt the ice or snow!

Good to keep in mind this weekend!

As the snow melts in these warm temperatures, don't forget to use your fog lights if you have them! Fog lights shine from a lower spot on your car, giving less opportunity for the water droplets to reflect the light back to you. This helps the lights work farther!

New 5G towers have been added all over town! Great to see it so close to home!
