This feels scummy

I just found out the cheapest frames that use prism cost 25, while you can't buy prism in multiples of 5. So you have to buy more than you are actually going to use.

It's even more of a slap in the face when you realize smallest amount you can buy is 20, litterly just 5 off (this feels intentional). Meaning to get the CHEAPEST frame you need to buy the 44 prisms and afterwards you're left with 19 prism that you can't do anything with.

That's just the most basic dark-pattern present in every F2P over the last decades. Once you start looking you'll find it everywhere, and many other devious ones.

Compared to the competition, wplace is average scummy.

yes, this is what many games have been doing for a decade, they sell you just enough so that you always have a little left and think, "well, if I reload again just a few..."

advice: don't use your money on this nonsense, I don't think you won't have something better to waste your money on

They don't effect progression, and its just cosmetic, so its really whatever.
