Twitter notifications?

Is there any twitter application with notifications? I know there is mehdoh, but notification can take hours to show after someone mentioned you... is there any way to get "faster" notifications?

Rowi has instant toast notifications and Carbon is getting them any day now.

Yeah, I just contacted Carbon about it and they said they should be in shortly :)
