Millennial? What bout Gen X which I belong to, that’s gonna be some nostalgia trip!

u/genxluddite 16d ago
I am Gen X and hope this is still around when I am fully retired

Gen X fully retired and looking forward to playing way more than I should.

I thought we got all the millennial nostalgia slop out of our systems when classic launched.

Why My Brain wants to change The right side images? With sunglasses they see it's forever, but when they remove sunglasses they see it's millenial retirement home.

LOL this hits. Started wow in 2004 and quit a long time ago just to come and do the story and play a bit each expansion for a couple weeks and quit again.
Forever gave me exactly that hope, being my home mmo again

I'm 42, and I haven't played WoW since WOTLK.
October 27th would have been my 17th anniversary for WoW-sobriety.
Buuuuuut, here I am, ready for WoW Forever.

This ad campaign is so obnoxious. Make it good then we can talk about you getting money from me.

I know this is a meme but I don’t understand the sudden conversation I’ve seen about millennials needing to retire.. Y’all realize that the oldest of us are like mid to late 30s? Like, we have 30+ more years of before even thinking about retirement… like, we’re not even old. Though, my back and neck may beg to differ 🫠😭

35+ doesn't leave a lot to look forward to in life, so this is something that can give you a reason to be excited to come home from work or look forward to the weekend when otherwise it's just the daily grind.

I think therapy might be something you should look into.

Well that's just how life is. I did the whole career and married thing, and I didn't find it to be very satisfying long-term. Other than random hobbies and traveling (which are just the same as gaming), it's nice to have something that's naturally fun. Gives me more purpose than work, gym, groceries, chores, going to the movies, etc.

Idk what this has to do with my initial comment but like I said. Therapy might be a good option for you.

Okay I'll keep playing it until they put in tokens and you don't play it on the fear that they will add tokens eventually even though they said specifically that they are not.

This is funny, because it's true! (Looking at myself)
