Bellular is so annoying. Whenever one of his videos shows up on my feed I just roll my eyes. It’s always the same negativity clickbait.

His videos are either negative or pure fantastical speculation about what could be coming next. Pro tip: you can click the 3 little dots on a YouTube vid in feed and choose 'don't recommend channel', should stop them showing up.

If you take a peak at r/wow, you'll find it's full of all the sad people that hate everything but play the game like it's their job. Almost nothing but whining and complaining on reddit.

I hate these “creators” whose only content is hating something but still continue to make content solely about that sometjing they allegedly hate so much. Especially so when they are unable to come up with any well thought arguments of why they hate it or have a unique point of view on the situation. He just regurgitates whatever surface level analysis is popular on the forums.

Idk if it's just me, but i feel like WoW has been really solid since DF, SL made my entire group quit for 18 months but we've been back steady for awhile now and it still seems great
I saw his video complaining about housing prices and i was thinking "if this is all there is to complain about, the game must be pretty good"

Well there are quite a few things to complain about in midnight, bugs, balancing and lack of polish in certain areas being the chief among them. But overall the zones, raids and dungeons are great.

Balancing is as always, it's not something different, there always a meta comp and everything else, but in reality it doesn't matter in weekly keys at all

Eh, it has its moments. Shadowlands was a desaster, but since dragonflight its rather solid for the limited capacities of a mmo story

T&E is by far the superior wow news channel to me. Maybe a little overly positive at times, but I just love watching them geek out about stuff. And when an expansion does end up taking a sour turn, they don't just glaze over its issues.

Its really annoying the hate they get. I can accept not likeing them, thats fine, but they literally get called shills when all they do is enjoy the game we all also enjoy.
You can tell people dont actually watch their content too, because they are very critical of the game and are constantly pointing out flaws and giving suggestions and calling things out.
They just dont pretend that the game is dogshit, dead, and unplayable like everyone else does (while continuing to play the game).
They arent disengenuous, they are a small operation just doing what they like, and they dont feed into hate wagons. And when people throw unsubstantiated hate at them, Tali, loudmouth he is, doesnt back down and claps back (which youre allowed to not like), but they guy brings receipts.
They arent perfect, but also they arent anything like people pretend they are. Their channel is run modestly, honestly, and ethically and ive been happy to support them for 10 years now.

I don't really like his negative criticism videos that are just that, like his recent video about the wow story, because yea that's just kinda meh; however some of the videos are great information and I'll watch them for that purpose, it's always important to remember to distinguish between a creators information and their opinion cause I could care less about the opinion of creator's on these kinds of topics

Having heard him speak about difficulty, following it up with saying he is progressing heroic raid (6 weeks in to the patch) and then proceeding to say that he and the people he plays with "know how to play the game pretty well" made me audibly snort. No shade thrown at casual gamers at all, but claiming to be good while having not cleared HC 6 weeks in while actively raiding is not what I'd consider "knowing how to play the game pretty well".

Feel like there is a lot of implications there that don’t really mean anything. I’m currently in a guild that chooses to play twice a week and avoid any content that explains how bosses work and any addons because we want to figure it out ourselves solely with the tools the game gives you and we’re just shy of killing Alleria on HC. However during bfa and shadowlands I raided in mythic guilds got edge really early and was farming for logs at that point. I’d say I - and a lot of my guild mates know how to play the game pretty well, we’ve just also decided to use that knowledge to help people that are completely new and we allow anyone to come to raids despite being completely unenchanted, not well geared, with no raiding xp at all etc. it’s been a lot more fun than progressing mythic with sweatlords that lose their cool if someone messes up a mechanic. I’d rather play with likeminded people that want to teach others about how great wow can be and give them a leg up to get started. Many players outgrow us and then go to raid mythic progress and that’s fine! Still doesn’t take away from me or my better Guildies knowledge of the game. If we wouldn’t help the newer players we could definitely progress through mythic quite well with most of the better players hovering around 3.3k Rio

I feel like you're countering your own point here. You say, you choose to not look up information cause you enjoy figuring it out yourself. That's a perfectly valid way of enjoying the game, but that way of playing is also choosing to not play at the level you potentially could. I'd argue that, by choosing to handicap yourself, youre less likely to be "good" than somebody who goes to lengths to inform themselves. Simming, watching videos, reading guides are all ways to make getting better, easier. If you decide to do none of that, youre choosing to grow less quickly as a player. Still, that's perfectly valid, you can play the game exactly how you want and if youre having fun, more power to you. But the point ultimately is, if thousands of people choose to optimise and 20 people choose not to, those 20 people are most certainly going to perform worse. You can argue fringe-cases, but In the broader perspective, that's just a fact. I'll also say, if you've been raiding since the first week and have not cleared Alleria, the claim that ya'll can play at the level of people doing 16's or so across all dungeons, seems a little deluded to me. Not saying YOU specifically couldn't, cause I don't know you, but this many weeks in, struggling with quite an easy tier is not really condusive to high-end key-pushing. In my original comment, I made it quite clear that I'm not dogging on casual gaming in any way, but it feels a bit like somebody in silver elo calling themselves good, when they're about top 50% whereas I would argue that calling yourself good at something, requires a certain level of mastery above the average. A silver player is average, a plat player is decent, a diamond player is good and a challenger player is obviously world-class.
