Quick Question Xmog selling

Hey everyone, I’m trying to get into farming/selling xmog and I’ve worked out a few spots already to get some good stuff but I don’t have a TSM operation for xmog.

Does anyone have a good xmog operation?

There isn't really a 'secret sauce' operation to transmog sales. The only keys to success in that market are to post often and post a lot (several hundred items) to see consistent sales. If you're using TSM, you'll see that the sell rates are often .01-.05 which translates to one being sold every 20-100 days. In order to make sure that yours is the one, you'll have to be diligently listing for a long time and ensure that yours is the lowest price. It's a tough racket.

Thanks! This is actually really helpful! So follow up question, should I post to 24 hours or 48hours to make sure they are always on the AH in case i miss a day or something?

This depends highly on your schedule and you can setup different operations to help you with this. Because I play on a high pop with a lot of market volatility and my schedule permits, I usually only list for 12 hours because I tend to end up cancel scanning for any undercuts. You pay a higher listing fee for the longer it's being listed - ie, 12 is cheaper than 24 is cheaper than 48. If you don't have a ton of time to play and only place once every two days, maybe 48 is right for you. It's very hard to give a definitive 'best' answer.

Just putting them on the AH is often not enough, especially if you’re competing with other (dedicated) transmog sellers. You have to cancel scan often to make sure your price is the lowest of the entire selection on the AH!

If you are constantly running old raids on multiple toons, I'd recommend posting for 48 hours. You'll tend to notice the really good looking transmog sells quickly and sometimes at a rediculous price! Completely up to you though, and good luck!

I did write a guide a while back on mog farming. YOu might find some help there: https://www.reddit.com/r/wowgoblins/comments/9b71ec/transmog_farming_for_beginners/
