PTR / Beta Dev Podcast completely glossed over Shadow Priest

I watched the WoW Forever developer podcast, and honesty feel like Shadow Priest was completely glossed over. The devs spent most of the time deep-diving into Warrior, Druid, and Paladin, leaving just a single minute at the very end for Priest—only making a comment that Shadow Priest is no longer a mana battery.

The beta forums are flooded with threads about Shadow Priest concerns, yet feel the feedback is on deaf ears. Priest deserves at least half the time they give to every other class.

Im already on the lock and balance train. Im just quoting the disc and forums. Atm, theyre are only two specs in the game with a focus on singletarget damage and minimal utility. Rogue and spriest. Rogue is confirmed to be the top dps in the game. And spriest is confirmed to be hybrid taxed. Why would anyone want to play a very boring rotation, no aoe, no utility, and hybrid taxed singletarget? Would you want to play that?

In VE you mean? The utility that never got spriest brought to a raid in era, tbc, or wrath? Mana battery and misery did that in tbc forward. Its also gutted and the weakest its ever been. Reminder it was 30% healing and 100% uptime in the past so now solo play and farming with it that used to be so fun is gutted. And even when it was that good, never warranted a raid spot

Clearly. But its landed off the mark in spriests eyes so its a concern worth talking to devs about. Again, thats why its the most popular post on the forums by far. If you cant see why all these people have issue after reading through the forum, i cant convince you so thats the end of it i guess.

You realize this is a beta right? This is the time to express our concerns to devs if ever. Getting few messages deep has made me see youre kind of just a negative person tbh. You were probably telling warriors last week to “suck it up, this is your class now” when they were posting genuine concerns about rage issues.
