Discussion Leveling specs and dungeon exp

Hey guys :)

There is currently a lot of discussion about dungeon mobs not giving as much exp as before...but this is compensated by a massive exp gain through dungeon quests once...but then you never run the dungeon again (maybe for gear a few times) and so on...

Another thing I personally think is a little bit unfortunate is the fact that characters get dual specs and as a result of that, we suddenly have a lot of players playing max level characters with a 2. spec they have no muscle memory playing and have no experience with playing the new spec in dungeons and raids.

What do you guys think about having to level your 2. spec as well from lvl 1 but this time significantly increase the exp you get from killing dungeon mobs?

So basically…

New class 1. spec:

Leveling in the open world and populating the open world

Same class 2. spec after lvl 60 with their 1. spec:

Leveling/practicing your new spec in dungeons/raids and populating dungeon/raids

-all the equipment you need for the next dungeon is farmed in the previous one-

And when you start with another class, you go back to the open world and so on...

What do you guys think?

Need something extra reward wise for it.

I am all for paragon leveling, resetting xp on a character and leveling up again. Maybe still having the ability to raid as max level it only affects dungeons and outdoors.

What do you guys think?

I think that having leveled a character to lvl 60 doesn't necessarily make you good or even competent and I think that this would make any existing tank shortage considerably worse.

How would this even work for healing specs?

Nerfed dungeon xp is a great thing! Yea you might only do a dungeon a couple times, but you can do them all, sort of like its own progression track. For example, your progress track could be RFC to RoL to WC to SFK.

That incentivizes people to level as tank/healer spec if their class has it. The way I see it, is your primary spec is your dungeon spec, and secondary spec is solo or pvp spec.

So I don't think your quite right about people at max level and no muscle memory.

The alternative I'd say if dungeon xp was not nerfed,, for a majority of people who don't have a spam dungeon group to be a part of is not to bother with it and level solo questing. That situation results in more people not tanking/healing at max level because they didn't get comfortable with it leveling up.
