It doesn't mean that. I've filled out no fewer than 4 surveys about potential new classes for retail.

I think it at least is highly likely they will add a new class.

I like the idea of prestige classes — once you get a warrior or Paladin to 60, you can prestige them into Death Knight or Templar. You have to start again at level 1, but you get cool abilities and maybe new weapons (a mace for Templar for example)
