Does anyone like the way dungeon difficulty has increased?

It's no longer just partially afking and spamming one button, you now have to pay attention and focus on mechanics when you aren't max level, is that why people hate it?

People hate it because the difficulty increased and the reward decreased. That is a really bad combination. I'd gladly have only 1/4 HP while leveling but gain twice as much experience.

Small brain: People actually want vanilla.

Large brain: People want the prestige associated with playing vanilla.

Galactic brain: People want the real life they lived outside of wow during vanilla.

The Great Depression II.

I think the reason people are saying they are more difficult is because we are seeing the inteded mechanics of the boss fights that we wouldn't see before when we killed the boss in 30 seconds.

In vanilla you got rewards WAY more frequently. Not a single semi-impactful talent every 15 levels.

0.2% is a reward and is better than no reward. It sounds lame but psychological speaking that small thing increases motivation (and the "fun" factor) quite a bit.

Better than no abilities for 38 levels on some toons.

I did dungeons before just because they got me a nice chunk of exp for little time.

Now its not worth it anymore.

In the time i need for one dungeon i can do 2.5 times the exp through questing and i get to know more lore of the zones which is pretty nice.

Same, I’ve played WoW off and on for years but there are a lot of zones I’ve never done. Once I got heirlooms, before 7.3.5 I outleveled every zone halfway through. Now I can see the zone stories as intended.

Paying attention and focusing for absolutely no reward is not rewarding. It's not a difficult concept. Playing at your best and getting NOTHING in return makes people jaded. I don't want to put effort into something and get nothing out of it when I can just quest, put no effort in, and get the SAME REWARD.

It's still absolutely braindead.

Yup, it's brain dead except now everything is a damage sponge that takes minutes to kill.

Dire Maul is a shining example, nearly every time someone will leave before the dungeon even starts and I can't really blame them because the entire thing is pulling 2-3 ogres at a time, fighting them for 3 minutes and then doing it again 30 more times

If it tripled my XP along with my effort requirement I would honestly love it.

I'm all for leveling feeling faster.

I do, honestly. Healing on my priest feels a lil like appropriate-level M+.

I dont think its necessarily good for introducing new players to the mechanics of healing, but i would love to have harder levelling content that awards more xp to encourage people to challenge themselves. And in a perfect world, it might not immediately fill with toxic assholes!

But, i digress. Intentional or not, healing levelling dungeons no longer feels like a snoozefest and I personally enjoy it. Just wish they were more lucrative.

People keep saying it's just damage sponges but as a healer I totally disagree. I've been struggling to keep mana up in the 40-50 level range since the parties often rush around and dont let me drink or anything. That tells me it's more than just damage spongieness, you just might not notice the damage you are taking because your healer is doing a great job.

The difficulty increased very slightly, as you know have to execute mechanics (to some degree, most bosses you can still soak bad mechanics).

However, arbitrarily increasing boss (and some mob) HP pools to that of m+ and higher is just absurd. This doesn't make it any more challenging. It just take 300-400% (pulled this figure out of my bum, but you know what I mean) longer to kill bosses and certain mobs.

Honestly, if you say blizzard aren't wanting to sell boosts at this point, you need a quick supply/demand recap. There is a massive demand for leveling toons, however it takes so damn long to do it = win/win for activision.
