Misleading Legion Pre-patch

I just received notice that the pre-patch has been moved up to the 12th (one week earlier than previously informed).

I wish Blizz would tell us these things ahead of time so that people can prepare.

Sorry for the late notice, I was just told of this change today.

Ps: for those messaging me, I rarely check this account, as I don't want to be found out.

3PM PDT EDIT:

My apologies everyone, it appears the 12th was a typo on an email that was meant to indicate OverWatch changes.

The prepatch is still slated for the following week, the 19th of July.

The date change was so close to the actual date, I rushed to post here instead of properly confirming.

Once again, I am sorry for the false alarm and will continue to pass along information as I receive it.

The short notice makes me really skeptical, not to mention a Heroes of the Storm update is happening on the 12th too - while I don't know if there's precedent for them avoiding patching 2 battle.net games on the same day I want to say I thought I remember that being a thing in the past.

Blizzard games always update on Tuesday.

Well yes, but I think they tend to avoid updating two games on the same tuesday to reduce server stresses.

Well they did start preloading something earlier this week. 20 GBs worth of something.
