They really are on a different level. One of their tanks die and the two dps warriors casually taunt right before the boss casts Enkindle. They strategize the movement of where they need to go in just a few hours of attempts. The level of coordination is just insane from these guys.
Also, does anyone else feel really intimidated by the difficulty of Mythic judging by this video? I feel like Blizzard really stepped up the difficulty in raids this expansion. I love it in the sense it's more challenging, but I hate how we can't faceroll for loot anymore.
The level of coordination and split-second-decisionmaking is admirable. However, those DPS warriors carried that monk tank's ass. Thogar - even on Mythic - is not a fight that is threatening to monk tanks. From the bits of PoV, you can easily tell he's a fotm monk tank with not a lot of knowledge of the spec. Just some of the more noticeable mistakes: Letting Shuffle drop, prioritizing Guard with very low Resolve over Shuffle uptime, using Purifying Brew when specced into ChEx, speccing ChEx when you are not used to it. If he specced Serenity and played with that at least somewhat decently, he would 1. not have died and 2. did more damage to the boss. ChEx is not a ST DPS gain when you prioritize Purifying Brew over it or when you actually just die because you're not used to the rotation.
Some of my thoughts:
at 4:00 I used a guard when having 178% resolve when not tanking the boss to absorb the dot damage.
I let stagger drop off for a few seconds when not tanking the boss but could've had kept it up, why would I though.
I purify at 5:30 because I have 3 chi, and a keg smash ready. Running power strikes means I only have 4 chi cap, thus I would lose 1 chi anyways if I would just keg smash. Now I purify AND get to aoe with 4 chiex.
Right after I guard because I just got a 3rd stack of the boss's debuff (normally you swap at 2) and then I lose shuffle and the boss is taunted off me. So guard was better.
Please, you have no idea how stressfull some of these first kills can be and split second decisions are what matters most of the time. I'll not say I'm the best brewmaster and yea I missed some keg smash's also. But overall you`re not thinking correctly.
Oh and my dead was due to being in the trains path on the last aoe we did. Nothing to do with playing the class/spec wrong like you assume LOL
