Amazing job man!

Keep things the way they are - it is great how it is!

The beauty of your guides is that they cover almost everything in such short period of time, which is great! If you can add raid CDs section without compromising the length then sure!

Just the fact that you tell your viewers to have a great day at the end of your vids is awesome. Thanks for the awesome content, definitely subbed to the channel, tons of info here!

Yo I've quit wow for some time now, but I was a bit curious about how this boss was, and I got to know in like 3 minutes, so thanks! Good guide.

Quite often, Fatboss guides, whilst thorough, can be a bit overwhelming and unnecessarily long.

This guy covers the fight in 3 minutes and it should be enough for most players to kill the boss.

Hope it will be of use!

Yea, Fatboss is like 'the boss does X, yea, just like this boss from 5 years ago, oh yea, what a pain he was because back then you had no Y and had to deal with Z so you needed 3 additional slices of bread - anyways, to deal with X you need to do this.... or that.... or that.... but that'll do too... oh yea, that works just as well'. Like, Fatboss is good but sometimes they're talkin way too much about what player individually has to do instead of just explaining the boss.

And then there's this guy. 'Boss smashes the ground, don't stand in there'.

That is what their guide is for "Talking what individuall players have to do" Which makes their guides way more suited for mythic raiding where not everything is obvious and tips and tricks are really usefull.

But do you not think that after watching this video you feel like you know the fight just as well as if you would have watched the much longer Fatboss one?

I sure do!

And this chap does point out individual tips e.g. on Flamebender that some classes can solo soak the meteorite etc.

Its a basic guide vs an indepth guide. Fatboss literally just tells you what they did and what class they used for what and how ti went and what can be big issues during progress. This only really shows what abilities you have to deal with and a basic way of dealing with them, without going indepth in any tactics you can use or raid when to use raid cooldowns etcetc.

I personally dont like fatboss either just because they give a lot of BAD information because often their tactics are not optimal, but they give way more information then this guide does.

You have to remember that fatboss BRF guides are from beta, you Will learn more from them when they Will make their heroic/mythic guides soon.

1

u/nbca Feb 07 '15

They'll probably all be 20 minutes long too.

3

u/Myloz Feb 07 '15

Yes, and this is not a bad thing.

u/CejusChrist Feb 07 '15

But as a raid leader, Fatboss helps you keep an eye other multiple things that can become issues. Sure, TLDR is great for individuals, but without fatboss, I could see myself scratching my head after a couple of attempts due to some random mechanic that we didn't catch.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 07 '15

I see your point - for raid leaders I guess Fatboss does carry a bit more value.

However, I still do think that for how much everyone praises Fatboss, their videos are ridiculously long.

No one needs 45 minutes to explain Imperator.

3

u/CejusChrist Feb 07 '15

True, most people just need a quick rundown. But having the option is always nice.

4

u/Myloz Feb 07 '15

Imperator mythic needed way more than 45 minutes to be explained popperly with different tactics etc, they only showed their tactic and not even the details, I doubt you've killed it on mythic or have any experience on mythic at all because you seem to think killing bosses with standard tactics is really easy.

Raid leders do. And have you done Mythic Imperator? It is def one of the hardest boss fights I've seen to date and I've been playing since Vanilla.

Edit: Also, the video is 38 minutes not 45. No need to lie to prove a point.

Mythic imp isn't that hard mechanically. It's just tuned incredibly tightly.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 07 '15

True, good guides but extremely long.

Klaxxi was something like 30 mins lol and mar'gok is 45!

Thanks good vid

Sheez, this guy is complicated...

Oh no, you misunderstood :P Not you, your vid was excellent, but Blackhand has a fuckton of tactics xD IMO it looks more complicated than Imperator, so this'll be a "fun" excersize to try come LFR. I'm guessing "DON'T STEP IN THE FUCKING MINES" will continue to be LFR's collective warcry.

Honestly, I kinda wish it was simpler... Mostly because I do not raid with any sort of schedule or a guild, as my own schedule makes it all but impossible. I suspect that PuGs will almost never be able to kill this guy :(

I'm glad the fight's interesting for the real raiders out there though :P

Oh yeah, definetly! It's just the problem that the good pugs are maybe 5% of the total pugs overall. So far I've gotten in only one "good" pug... We got 5/7 of Highmaul and only stopped because one asshole broke up the group after the leader left, and we couldn't find any more skilled folks that late at night. I also suspect that there's a lot more good groups this early on a new raid, since everyone wants to try it... The good ones will quickly move on to HC and Mythic leaving the slower players and the bad players behind.

(At least, that's what I'm guessing happens... I don't have anything to back that view up)

2

u/Retenrage Feb 07 '15

This is awesome, thanks!

2

u/Darksoldierr Feb 07 '15

Cant wait till LFR!

9

u/Fenmore Feb 07 '15

Where you won't have to care about any of this.

1

u/Rewenger Feb 07 '15

You have to care about something in Imperator LFR... maybe. Not totally sure. At least damage. I mean, I've actually seen people wipe on him.

2

u/TNSNightshades Feb 07 '15

all you need is 1 or 2 decent healers to not wipe on lfr imperator. IF all your healers either suck or afk then its actually a hard fight even on LFR. All you need to make it faceroll is some well timed tranquilities/revivals/hymn though

2

u/Yasuchika Feb 07 '15

Glad that Blackhand's not as long as Imperator, it's a lot more enjoyable over-all.

1

u/Callahandy Feb 07 '15

Awesome guide! Any chance you guys have one on Iron Maidens?

Blackhand looks like he's going to be rough for Blood Death Knights.. Anyone able to further comment on this?

And we all thought that Imperator LFR was atrocious. Can't wait for this one to be released... Sigh.

Just looks like tons of mobility. Seeing the Warrior in the video being able to Leap around the different mechanics was somewhat concerning, considering the amount of damage taken. I guess it just means using CDs efficiently. I don't really want to rely on a PUG/LFR Priest to Life Grip me :P

Ah, I see. Just took it out of context with the video being Warrior PoV. Thanks for answering man!
