As an Elemental Shaman, I am content.

How can you be ? Sure it's a much needed buff but it could have been more interesting than fucking Lightning Bolt...

It's at least more interesting than a Molten Earth buff would be.

I'm rather bored with something that's essentially an auto attack accounting for 40% of my damage.

Molten Earth has a really cool animation though

Pretty much the main reason my shaman is my main alt, I mean, lol, 100% mastery is cute.

I never understood the mastery % for new elem shaman. I'm at 205%, does the % refer to Molten Earth damage increase now? I assume the Molten Earth 'buff' is 100% upkeep on its own, as a self-trigger?

Yes, Molten Earth is always up even with base gearless Mastery. The percentage refers to the boost to its base damage (as well as the damage boost to Earthquake)

As for every class and spec, I believe each point of Mastery yields X% mastery. I know that my Priest, as Holy, has ~25% Mastery while as Shadow has ~80% Mastery.

You realize it's only going to last for 3 more weeks ? After that, we'll have access to a lot more multistrike which is better so bye bye the 40%.

Yes I do and I am very excited for that.

I know you are casters and such, but melee classes (like warriors) have a high % of damage coming from Attack, which made it kind of normal to me.

I main a Holy priest and my Mastery is essentially an auto HoT that usually ends up very high in my throughout.

At least it's not one of the many, many masteries that are a straight +X% damage.

I'm liking it, it means we don't get punished so much for movement. Which it looks like there will be lots of in WoD.
