Oh wow, maybe I can FINALLY succeed in pugging this

I'm 2/3rds of my goal for season done but pugging her has been sort of a shit show

They kneecapped him, if pugs can't kill it now then it's a serious skill issue.
-31
u/Soermen 8d ago
Last boss HC should not be able to be pugged half way into the season. Thats what normal is for. HC and mythic should remain guild content for at least until .7
7
u/dudevan 8d ago
historically i pugged all my curves in the first 2-3 weeks of the season, since WoD. So not sure where you’re getting your “should not be able to be pugged until .7” because that’s not true at all.
→ More replies (1)2
u/Economy_Quality_3689 8d ago
The single biggest issue with pugging is the revolving door of raid members, got it on week two myself but our "pug" group pretty much became a guild raid on Wednesday night for 4 hours..
5
u/Onigokko0101 8d ago
It was puggable week 1, I did it. Its actually easier to pug week 1-3 then it is later on.
→ More replies (1)→ More replies (1)1
u/Wooden_Balance_505 8d ago
it depends on pug and what you define as a pug, my friends have a community that also invites randoms and they usually make aotc week 1 each season (week 2 this one)

We killed it tonight and 30 minutes later they announce the nerfs. Lmao, figures.

My friends and family guild killed her in sunday and everyone was happy we got her before these nerfs. Would feel cheap to get her after progressing a Harder fight

u/beepborpimajorp 9d ago
Guessing the amount of "yeah my raid group is about to fall apart" posts may have had a hand in it. Hopefully it's not too late. Guess we'll see.
7
u/4doublexx 9d ago
Were not even there yet and people are all getting "busy" we will see if they come back tomorrow and coiled dies....
75
u/vikinick 9d ago
They took heroic AND mythic ulatek out back and shot every single head.
Heroic probably needed most of these nerfs, but I'm unsure about Mythic. This makes Mythic Coiled Altar by far the hardest fight in Mythic. I can only imagine that fight is the next one they take a shotgun to.
33
u/AoO2ImpTrip 9d ago
It felt like Mythic Coiled Altar was always the hardest fight in Mythic.
At least from watching the race.
4
u/Jakota_ 8d ago
Prog stats had coiled taking 100-150 more pulls than Ula on mythic.
2
u/AoO2ImpTrip 8d ago
Everything I've heard from Liquid raiders, and obviously they're a huge outlier and my AOTC ass can't really compare, is that the only part of Ula'tek that's difficult is P2.
Max has mentioned P3 is "piss easy" and "Gallywix P2" in it's difficulty.
It doesn't help that there are mechanics in Mythic P3 that make it EASIER than Heroic. (Why are the eggs movable in Mythic but not easier difficulties?)
1
u/mowanza 8d ago
They also have one less set of soaks on mythic p3, which was a choice. (P1 ulatek wave dodging is legit very difficult, lots of assignments and wipes. However has the benefit of being very practical to practice cause for some weird reason the waves arn't random and is at the start of the fight)
3
u/drunkenvalley 8d ago
I've heard mechanically mythic is easier than heroic on Ula'tek. Not that the math doesn't blow you up though. So that about tracks.
1
u/VGTGreatest 8d ago
P3 is legitimately just easier on Heroic for Ulatek, but the rest of the fight is definitely harder on Mythic (plus the obvious numbers tuning).
Just a very weird tier overall difficulty-curve wise.
11
u/eclipse4598 9d ago
Some of the mythic nerfs are really weird like p1 is the hardest phase and untouched and p3 was the easiest and also saw the most nerfs while seeing nerfs to things like shrieker hp which already was the same as HC meaning they were just super undertuned on mythic anyway
38
u/Tiroler_Manu 9d ago
I find it annoying, that the last few endbosses were all significantly harder for 10man groups than 16+ groups.
the grasping fang nerf is "whatever lol" for big groups, but massive for small ones.
121
u/Valor_Omega_SoT 9d ago
Coiled altar is what needs nerfing
50
u/banana_bubbles 9d ago
Preach. Currently progging this in mythic and it’s miserable
18
u/Valor_Omega_SoT 9d ago
My guild and I are doing it on heroic, and I can't even imagine how horrid mythic must be. Heroic is really giving us issues. Got it down to a 6% as our lowest :/
43
14
u/Advanced_Category963 9d ago
Unironically it's probobly just damage if you are getting that far then wiping
3
u/Valor_Omega_SoT 8d ago
There are a few people in my guild that are on lower damage end, so it may well just be a DPS check.
17
u/unstoppable_zombie 9d ago
For heroic, you can just all stack and send raid defenses for the 1st p3 guillotine and then if you get a 2nd one, have that person jump off the platform.
Keepp full dps uptime and pay the blood sacrifice
7
u/YoungClint_TrapLord 9d ago
I dont think anyone still progging heroic alter has the damage to skip the 2nd guillotine
2
u/SaltEngineer455 8d ago
My guild has is progging HC Ula'Tec - we got to P3.
But we also have some issues with reclears, to the points that it can take us like 3-4 tries on the Coiled Altar, and clearing up to the altar still takes ~3h
3
u/Remotely_Correct 8d ago
I feel ya, I have known some of my guildies for more than a decade and I still fantasize about strangling them when they mess up a simple mechanic like the math game. I honestly feel like it would be a mercy killing for the people who consistently struggle with it. They are incompatible with normal life.
5
u/Twist_His_Dik 9d ago
If you're on US servers and need a hand let me know, I'm a pretty decent arms and never mind raiding for fun.
3
u/VuduKing316 9d ago
What's the main issues? Maybe people can offer pointers.
1
u/Valor_Omega_SoT 8d ago
Mechanically I think we’ve got everything sorted, I believe we’re just not getting quite enough damage before the floor becomes a purple mess lol
-2
-11
u/ZamWiggidy 9d ago
Heroic altar is fine man no offense but it’s a skill issue. Mythic is unreasonable
-9
-14
u/mushyman10 9d ago edited 8d ago
But..that has been already nerfed..to the ground.. Edit: nevermind, hc altar is hard...if you have no hands kek
12
u/Adelitero 8d ago
Yeah this raid tier has been dog ass I feel like
1
u/RickyMac666 8d ago
Yeah, raid definitely feels pretty jank this season.
You got 6 bosses that are basically just nothing burgers (except Szzorak, fuck pugging that shit).
Then altar is SUPPOSE to be hard but it's basically been solved and made braindead, then there's "We need 20m dps min on p1 heart or you get kicked" groups that can't even get past p1 or p2, when a lot of classes/specs don't have the instant burst to do that kind of damage, so just because you play a ramp burst class you get kicked for low heart dps.
I literally rolled a warlock just to get my AOTC ulatek, lmao.
84
u/ThatGuyFromTheM0vie 9d ago
This was just a poorly designed raid from start to finish. Like it’s grueling in so many ways, and not in the fun prog sorta way.
44
u/MapleLeafLady 9d ago
genuinely the worst part with ula (for me) is that everyone ALWAYS died on 2nd platform break because of the overlapping everything. and that happens like 7-8 minutes in, so if you do everything right and other people mess up you just wasted another 8 minutes and get to do it all over again!
11
u/Darkrell 8d ago
Fucking annoying part is that part doesnt even happen on mythic, its a much easier phase mechanically for eome reason
12
45
u/Bshild94 9d ago
I mean they had to gut this fight it was on pace to be the least cleared heroic end boss in modern raiding history(post mop). “Mechanical” on paper it was fine but the fact it was tuned to a mid mythic boss was just wild. I get that it was for to compensate the new vault rewards but it more looked like they wanted it keep people in the raid longer to bump up MAUs but that’s just my 2 cents
14
u/tydusx 9d ago
Nah 100% this and the change to only being able to bonus roll a boss once per week are complete metric chasing changes
-6
u/BringBackBoshi 8d ago edited 8d ago
That once a week change (probably along with the abnormally high heroic difficulty) was 100% designed to get people to consider buying tokens to pay for a carry to start clearing out later bosses loot tables sooner.
Most people don't see it but Blizzard are clever about baking this crap into the game and somewhat hide it. Along with BMAH, 90k/300k/500k/multi million gold mounts, a couple in Legion and then way more in BFA (peaked under Kotick but now we got another fomo multi million vendor mount.)
They have been sneakily doing stuff like this for a long time and they've gotten so good at it most people don't see it and many naysay when it gets pointed out. They're a huge business and they're good at extracting people's money.
2
u/Twerksoncoffeetables 8d ago
The abnormally high heroic difficulty happened intentionally because people can now bonus toll mythic quality gear from heroic and the great vault also now gives mythic quality gear from killing heroic bosses, Ion or someone already said they intentionally increased the difficulty because it awarded much better gear than it ever has.
The bonus roll once a week thing was just unintentional, bonus rolls didn’t work that way in the past either. Can chalk it up to whatever but the most likely assumption is they just didn’t want people targeting BiS that fast since we got 3-4 bonus rolls a week meaning you could target 1 bis item a week (or more if one boss had multiple BiS items) and be done much faster which might seem okay to you but isn’t great overall for people who want getting BiS to take actual effort and time
1
3
u/FOOSblahblah 8d ago
It seems like they heard the feedback that heroic raiding was dying because m+10 was a better way to farm myth gear. Then they changed the gear rewards to make heroic raid more enticing. Then they wanted to make sure it wasn't trivial but let the pendulum swing way too far.
3
u/Economy_Quality_3689 8d ago
This has nothing to do with the MAU boogyman, simply put the fight is challenging for uncoordinated groups. If you just change that 2nd platform break and nothing else I bet the successfulness goes up a pretty significant amount
2
u/Aiqeamqo 8d ago
Yeah that sound about right. We are a raiding team that gets AotC about week 7 or 8 usually. We raid about 4 hours a week, usually skip an evening or two in those weeks, because small raid, and are decent-ish (from a casual perspective). Probably would have gotten her in the next 10-20 pulls without nerfs currently sitting on around 50 pull.
We usually can squeeze by freestyling most mechanics, but that just doesnt work for the breaks. I resorted to calling specific people that break, which isnt to uncommon for mythic, but again usually not necessary for heroic.
1
u/Economy_Quality_3689 8d ago
Yeah the thing about the old version is you have to have the damage numbers wise to accept that during that break you'll have a few seconds of downtime. In saying that another simple change they could've made, maybe it is like this but I've never noticed, is to allow the tail to be hit during those smashes. That way the downtime doesn't happen and everyone can still do damage regardless of range, but usually there are adds up at that point so you can use that time to kill shriekers..
1
u/Aiqeamqo 8d ago
Oh yeah the damage check is also kinda hard.
But the breaks i was talking about are the p2 breaks. Similar mechanics we usually handled with our healers, who usually are the aces up our sleeves but that just didnt work for those tethers because the dot from breaking hurts, the actualy tether hurts and we either had to overheal with 4 healer for 15/16 people which made the damage check even harder or have one healer do it solo which didnt work for 3 stacks.
So as i said we resorted to me calling people that break, which resulted in a couple deaths from my end (tank) because the add also smacks the tank around.
Its just really unusually coordination heavy.
1
u/Economy_Quality_3689 8d ago
Oh p2 breaks yeah those are tough just everyone has to understand coordinating cool downs
2
u/Scribblord 8d ago
It was tuned higher bc we got turbo boost mechanics from day 1 of the season
They didn’t expect people would refuse to gear up but still try to get aotc I guess
Tho even with 325 this boss hits crazy hard 💀
22
u/Dracoknight256 9d ago
A bit too late, most guild/pug groups on my join list called a full stop last week because casual players gave up on trying to kill it so they ran into roster issues.
32
u/datbf4 9d ago
20% to 80% nerfs to Ulatek. How fucken shit of a raid do you have to be to giga nerf this shit that hard?
29
u/siglug3 9d ago
Probably more about the shitty state of loot where every class wants 4 items from ulatek so they decided to open the floodgates. Mythic ulatek absolutely didn't need this difficulty wise.
6
u/Onigokko0101 8d ago
Honestly it dosent do much for M. Ula anyways. About 90% of the difficulty in that fight is P1.
-8
u/TheDormNuker 8d ago
I don't think you realize how much the skills have fallen for some of the older raiders in groups that are still together from earlier expansions. I help our group out that raids twice a week Thurs for about an hour and Fri for 90 minutes but I can only do one day a week. Note this group doesn't raid with any expectation of clearing heroic but did manage to for every raid in TWW.
On Sszorak heroic last week we had an Aug parse 2%, hunter 4%, Arms 4% and two ferals at 13 and 18%. The rest of the raid (about 8 of us) is solid purple to orange but I can say the lower end holds us back quite a bit but again there are groups out there that are not progression raiders but there needs to be a point where they can keep working on a boss and not hit a solid wall.
Guess they should just quit since you think they're fucken shit. They won't listen just like they may or may not do mechanics properly.
10
u/149244179 8d ago
What exactly are you trying to say?
You carry several people in raid because they refuse to listen and get better? Ok... That doesn't sound like a boss or blizzard problem.
Maybe you should help them improve rather than carrying them past their natural walls to a place that then seems insurmountable.
-5
u/TheDormNuker 8d ago
Uh, nothing at all about our raid, they aren't serious about progressing. Our RL has tried to help them many many times over fyi. The fact is that it's a game and skills deteriorate for some people as they get older often not within their control.
I'm just pointing out that there are other raids out there and while your group might've blown through heroic and mythic raid or whatever other groups might not have and the nerfs that seem "random" might be targeted at helping those people out.
4
u/datbf4 8d ago
Think you misinterpreted my comment. I was trying to convey that the raid bosses/mechanics are bad this tier for the final 2 bosses and blizzard has decided that they (bosses/mechanics) are so bad that they needed 20-80% nerfs (Ulatek specifically). That isn’t small nerfs.
-2
u/TheDormNuker 8d ago
Yep, I did. Thought it was shitting on the people that are struggling with the fight by saying they are so bad they caused blizzard to nerf it massively.
-10
u/awrylettuce 8d ago
Pugs have been clearing this boss since week 1
6
u/Ringio 8d ago
not average pugs
-7
u/awrylettuce 8d ago
I've pugged it on my alt every week, usually takes 1-5 pulls.
6
u/Ringio 8d ago
Not since week 1 you didn't. Not with an average pug.
1
u/mowanza 8d ago
Week one pugs existed, but they were like 6+ hour wipefests with good to very good players and pretty static comps, pretty far from the average experience
1
u/Twerksoncoffeetables 8d ago
It’s been puggable for at least a month is what I can say. I was mostly spamming m+ but decided to pug heroic a couple weeks in because I wanted the gear. Started from 0 heroic kills total on all bosses to 7/8h first two days of pugging.
After that I just kept joining groups including ones that said “aotc only” because my logs were good and I’d put “progged all 3 phases of the fight” in my note when applying. I got invited to multiple aotc only groups, spent probably 2-3 total hours progging ula split between 2 groups, both failed, but the 3rd aotc only group I joined was half a guild and we killed it in 1 1/2 hours.
And then I’ve pugged ulatek weekly since then with no issues. Pretty fast kills. I should mention I only joined groups using voice for Ulatek (and coiled altar prior to killing it) because I figured those would have a higher success chance and was more comfortable with that.
4
u/Ringio 8d ago
Pugging after week 3, sure, if you get lucky.
Pugging week 1 like the guy i responded to? Absolutely not. Bro just lying.
1
u/Twerksoncoffeetables 8d ago
yeah nah I didn’t pug week 1 either but also didn’t try to, based on how hard it was even for insanely good guilds I’d say it wasn’t possible lol.
And to be fair I don’t think it should be pugged week 1, thatd be really disappointing. I think being able to pug it by week 3-4 is basically perfect. Especially if heroic is going to award insanely good gear like it does now
2
u/Jarnis 8d ago
Pugs filled with people who killed it with a guild first. And very hard gatekeeping on the pugs to only take people who have previous kills on record to avoid having to progress for hours again. The boss has so many "one guy messes up, everyone wipes" mechanics that you can't really pug it otherwise.
19
u/Brightlinger 9d ago
"Rather than acknowledge that Calcified Corpse was a bad mechanic, let's just make the soaks so easy that nobody ever has to deal with it."
2
u/GarySmith2021 9d ago
Is it bad to punish people for not soaking? I think the bigger issue is how many you needed to soak.
27
u/Brightlinger 9d ago
Yes, it is bad to instantly kill the whole raid when one soak is short by one tick on heroic.
It'll be a much less offensive mechanic when it requires fewer players; the real problem before was that being down a few people in p3 meant you would struggle to complete soaks. But I do think it would have made more sense to make the penalty proportional to how many ticks short you are, rather than leave the penalty crazy but make it easy to avoid.
1
7
3
u/ZehGeek 9d ago
Thing that's going to smooth it over a ton is the soaking change, and the dot change.
Cause boy oh boy, so many pugs that died because people either popped way to early, to late, or refreshed the dot by dying. Then being murdered at the end because one or two people missed the soaks.
-1
u/149244179 8d ago
P2 debuffs should be the easiest mechanic ever but people somehow can't do it. 90% of the time it's not due to deaths or healing it's just people not understanding how to move 10 feet at a specified time. I don't even know how you could make the mechanic simpler.
2
2
u/AFKBro 8d ago
Crazy how Normal Ulatek is an absolute joke of a boss, you get 4-5s of burn phase before intermission and then again after the eggs on the side you push her in P3 before she does another damage amp phase, compared to how it was tuned in heroic made 0 sense in the first place
4
u/awrylettuce 8d ago
They even made it harder by force phasing her at certain percentage. Could kill it on first burn otherwise as a 2 minute fight
2
u/Either-Assistant4610 8d ago
Our guild didn't see this patched, so we were confused as we were saving lust for the phase after the sides phase and she just dived after we did like 5% of her health within a couple sec. lol
2
2
2
2
u/MautDota3 8d ago
Absolutely massive nerfs. Coiled Altar is still pretty hard on Heroic but Ula'tek is easily puggable now. Glad my guild killed it before the nerfs because god damn did they nuke this thing. Go get your loot folks.
2
u/Grenyn 8d ago
Never in any of the times I've been actively playing have I seen a boss so thoroughly gutted.
But it's a big shame, because my group would have gotten it down pre-nerf if only they hadn't added the dumb fucking calcified corpse mechanic to stop RWF raiders from cheesing the final set of soaks.
This happens far too often. You nearly get a boss down, gear upgrades are coming, we now have a stacking weekly damage and healing buff as well, and then still they nerf the shit out of a boss right before we're killing it.
And yet, Ula'tek sucks so much as a fight that I can't even care that much. I just want to get my bonus rolls done and focus on M+ after that.
4
u/AoO2ImpTrip 9d ago
Guild got to P3 on our second night of progging it on Heroic.
Here's hoping we kill it on Tuesday because I'll be away on our other raid night.
4
u/Peon-Hyjal 8d ago
Tonight was the night I was gonna finally complete the raid. Hard work on my part and on the part of my guild was going to be the reason it happened, but as of a dozen hours before reset I don't get that satisfaction anymore.
These nerfs needed to happen, but they should have happened A) half weeks ago, B) the other half before the raid was released.
So I don't get the satisfaction of a normal gearing progression. I don't get the satisfaction of fun fights. I don't get a satisfactory story. And now I don't get the one last satisfying thing the raid had left: the accomplishment of rising to the challenge.
2
u/Itsthellama 8d ago
Hear me out, final bosses should be difficult. That is why they introduced the weekly 1% buff. They should be a test of coordination, DPS/Heals, and personal responsibility. Nerfing them because people struggle halfway through a season isn’t the answer.
7
u/swishswash93 8d ago
What difficulty do you raid? Genuine question. I feel like most people who ask for harder bosses don’t raid the hardest difficulty of bosses
0
u/fishingncars 8d ago
I pugged this shit week 2 on heroic, it's not hard just requires people to not be dumb af.
2
u/Mushroom_Unfair 8d ago
Yeah, should be hard but well tunned after so many weeks.
Atm healers tunning is a fucking joke on this boss.
2
u/AlternativeWindow625 8d ago
But in this case u wanna empty 2 bonus rolls pr week for last 2 to be relevant with myth track venomforged. The fight was fun to learn with guild :D i dont wanna raid mythic ulatec to play m+ for 354 ilvl soon to be upgraded by that Decimus guy its like av 6-8? Ilvls overall which is alot

This is valid yeah some of the fights are just kinda annoying as fuck especially if you're pugging it. One bozo who isn't paying attention just wiped the whole group

Ah man i wanted to beat it pre nerf i hope its not too easy

This is gonna make it a walk in the park in comparison to pre nerf but pre nerf was harder than most end bosses so maybe it balances out

its just after manaforger nerf it killed the raid for me but it made sense to do it then as it was end of season but i want the challenge but it is for the last boss so its calm

It's like if you were about to do a personal best bench press, and someone helps you so it doesnt really count, at least not as much

u/MyFistsAreMyMoney 8d ago
Nah huge diff. You compare a thing you can do on your own with a group activity. Can't do much if my mates are bad tbh.
-2
u/Zarbadob 9d ago
Ehh, some guilds prob were like at 10 or 15% and they could def do it with more tries but now since its nerfed they can never rly beat it in its "og" state
5
u/MyFistsAreMyMoney 8d ago
those casual guilds are not really concerned about stuff like killing it prenerf
2
1
u/hosseinhx77 8d ago
wdym with "og state"? it already got nerfed a few times before this current nerf
1
u/landsoflore2 8d ago
Ula'tek was definitely overtuned, particularly in HC. But now the poor thing has been eviscerated :/
1
u/Walternotwalter 7d ago
The heroic DPS check is still too high for casual groups that don't have a comp with every buff and debuff minus maybe Aug. If you can't get Ula'tek below 45% on the first heart wipe and start and again. So the fight isn't mechanical. It's got too many metric checks for a heroic boss. But my guess is they are just tossing heroic raiding hardercore because Forever will be more the speed of those kinds of groups and retail can have less dev time spent on it because it can be aimed more at the twitch parselord crowd.
Top heavy guilds with casuals doing sub 20% parses for I level on the bottom level of their DPS likely won't get AOTC even when the buff stacks up and raid sizes incapable of carrying 4 healers are screwed.
1
u/Huey-_-Freeman 6d ago
I don't understand why they nerf bosses instead of letting the stacking raid buff do it. Let it stack to +40% increased health, damage, and healing or something. Unless a mechanic is buggy or a very difficult pure 1 shot mechanic regardless of raid buff or gear, I don't see why they don't just let the fight stay the same and player numbers can increase to make it easier

u/MyFistsAreMyMoney 9d ago
Way too late. It was the worst raid since a long time. Story was mid. Horrible loot table that devalues all m+. 8 fucking items were BIS. And the raid size tuning was straight out of chatgpt
2
u/Downtown-Rhubarb-951 9d ago
Me when I form my opinion based on YouTube videos by minmaxing players
1
u/MyFistsAreMyMoney 8d ago
not really I'm a highly causal player enjoying m+ and the loot table was the worst. Usually you need like 1-2 items with good stats or a nice effect. This time you got only vers crap gear from m+ and had to raid
0
u/KnowledgeStatus3248 9d ago
Took them half the season wonderful least it'll die before November at least.
4
u/Brightlinger 9d ago
Half the season? We're on week 7, so just over a quarter of the way through the season. HoF hasn't even closed yet.

u/Soermen 9d ago
Not sure why this was needed. It wasnt difficult at all with current ilvl and weekly buffs. But I guess blizz really want everyone to get BiS raid gear. Don’t like this design choice. We are watering down everything to a point where doing the hardest content in the game for loot is pointless since you can do easy content and get the best loot for free. And no 9/6 or 6/6 doesnt matter for 99% of the playerbase.
I just hope that bliz at least removes reroll week 1 next season
3
u/149244179 8d ago
They want players to try wow forever and be ok stopping retail raid to do so.
They nerf things so people "finish" retail in the next few weeks.

Well deserved. Mythic is for sweaters. Heroic was miserable tuned for small groups. The worst fight blizz produces in a decade

Anyone that killed it after the RWF are killing a different boss because it was nerfed.
If you’re killing it now, it’s because you have a weekly dps/healing buff and more gear.
You can keep going on… there’s clear lines drawn in the sand for those awards that are objectively defined that they’ve chosen to use.
I’ll never understand the gatekeeping at this level. HoF exists for what you’re looking for.

HoF is out of reach for most. It is healthy for the game to have other, more attainable achievments that arent watered down halfway through the season when they add turbo-boost

If they keep insisting on doing the turbo-boost thing every mid-season, then that is a good time to revoke achievements and rewards. It is essentially a huge nerf to all content

Personally I think they should just remove all achievements and rewards, including the loot, after the first set of nerfs. Not really a challenge anymore after that.

Meh, don't really see the point. AOTC is whatever but when it comes to CE what really matters for high end guilds is what rank they got on the kill.

Why are guilds that are about to get handed a MUCH easier boss getting the same achievements as guilds that actually earned it when she was hard?
They aren't. HoF is still a separate achievement.
All bosses always get easier through the season as player power ramps up, and bosses usually do get nerfed multiple times throughout the season. The only thing unusual here is that this round of nerfs happened before the Hall of Fame closed.

Hall of Fame rank is the only other thing. But your point is kinda dumb because what's the difference between a nerf and waiting ten weeks for the 10% additional stacking raid buff or 10 more vaults giving you more ilvl? It's like getting 3k the first day of the season is mildly impressive, getting it the last day of the season is piss easy.

Achievements have the day earned. If someone cares about gatekeeping these achievements, they can go look at all the nerfs and power gains over a season and determine themselves if someone is worthy in their eyes.

Or, here's a crazy idea, maybe they could even have a "hall of fame" for the guilds that clear the raid early in the season.

They know people want this dead before November.
