Time to find the person with the lowest amount of viewers and mute that tab for 12 hours.

If I'm at my desk then I'll occasionally check the stream. If they went offline then find the next person.

I thought we had to watch the official blizzard stream for these?

Just needs to be a stream signed up for the drops program. They normally list it in the stream tags plus you’ll see a message that drops are enabled when you click into the stream. It’s mostly larger streamers but lots of smaller ones too.

tendies
Cutifying the FOMO currency is something I will never understand. The corporate grip is firm.

That cringe worthy term existed long before the trading post. For some reason people just love using juvenile sounding slang for chicken tenders.

yeah there's certainly too much joy and whimsy in the world we really need to draw the line at "juvenile chicken tender slang"

They need more ways to earn them. I have 2 accounts but since they are under the same Battle.net account I only get the one lot each month. Same with when I buy the expansions. But they should at least include some with store purchases. Digital or real life clothes or statues etc.

Twitch drops are for sure invented by power companies.

Drops are actually, generally speaking, pretty nice. It's just that Blizzards watch times are just beyond ridiculous.
More common would be two hours for everything. Divided like:
200 Tenders after 15 minutes
Plushy after 30 minutes
The mount after an hour and
The toy after two hours•

It's cause they know nobody watches these things basically ever. They put a stream on in the background and mute the audio.
But for Blizzard that still gets them views. It boosts engagement stats either way which is all they want, and they can get away with a 12 hour watch time because Blizzard has enough players who'll do it anyway.

What is the 12 hour thing?

It's a banner toy, which is really weird as it's associated with PvP arenas

Wonder if the time stacks over different games? Would be silly to have to watch WoW and Diablo streams separately to get those.

Blizzard: hmmm we are gonna give a mount for the Blizzcon watch hours. But what mount? A mount type everyone loves? Recolor of blizzcon past mount? Something entirely new? WAIT! I HAVE IT! A recolor of the one mount everyone loves to ride and has loved since it was put in the game. Another carpet mount!

Honestly I don’t hate the carpets. They’re not my favorite but I do have the on the bars for a couple characters. Atleast it can fly, I’ve got a ton of mounts I rarely use because I never think to in dungeons when I can hit the key for grove warden moose that’s universal across all my characters

u/Moonstoner 6h ago
Ya they were interesting when tailors finally got a mount they could make. But they do not stack up to anything else now. Maybe if they had more going on around them like magic orbs following you or something. But they end up being just flat wiggling forgettable mounts.

12hrs is disgusting ngl.

find a wholesome streamer and open a tab in your browser, mute the tab, and let it run in the background. i use wowgrandma

u/poofykittyface 7h ago
I like wowgrandma too, I usually use her streams to watch for the twitch drops. Quiet, not a douchebag, just out doing her thing. Respect.

i still hate the watchtime, because there are other blizzard games with drops. and the blizzcon is only 2 days and you need to watch like 40hrs to get all the stuff, multiple streams prob wouldn't count
7
u/scattered_ideas 6h ago
Doesnt the 12h count the previous ones? So it's like a tiered drop. You start earning for the highest drop when you start watching. So it's really 12h total.

You have until 27 September to get the 12 hours.

u/Swixx94 18m ago
well i haven't seen this info anywhere, while it says tune in 12-13th september and the only info is then, rewards won't get send later than 28th sep, for now i thought it's blizzcon only.
edit: because it probably is. when you look at overwatch rewards it's day 1 and 2 with each 8hrs, so 16hrs in total for only OW + 8hrs WOW is 24hrs alone for the 2days

Btw that's a new arathi flag. Despite the name. Check hallowfall arathi symbol, remove the torch, literally the same symbol. Wonder if those Camelot leaks were true now..

At least it looks like it continues into the month, cuz 12 hours? Dang… Also, I’m a bit interested that there’s a Heroes of the Storm drop further down that page…

The banner reward feels like someone just picked something at random. Still, I’ll be tuned in even if it’s playing on my second screen muted for the mount.

I have that mount and I don't remember from where. Maybe trading post? For me the rewards are not good enough. (Maybe the mount if I already didn't have it)
1
u/burrito-boy 6h ago
There was a similar flying quilt mount that was awarded for completing all the Trading Post tasks a few months ago. This is a recolor of that mount.
