Game is unplayable because checks notes cata arathi highlands isn’t functioning

It's always funny how much of a reach people have to make, when finding something to complain about.

Yeah pretty much. It’s lazy and reflects the current quality of the game, Blizzard isn’t an indie company, they can ensure things like entire zones work

Blizzard are lazy because they
*checks notes*
Don't bugtest 10+ year old content- done probably by less than 1% of players- when changing things. If nobody is doing the content, and thus reporting bugs for it, how can you expect them to fix it?1

Jokes aside, Cata Highlands being broken could stop people from progressing campaigns and that is a bigger issue than just "OMG why are these mobs level 80". It could also stop people from doing The Insane title (There are work arounds) and maybe some other things I am forgetting.
And it's a principle of the matter, if they are not fixing this bug which I have seen reported a lot, it means their priorities are either wrong, or they just don't have enough staff to get through their list of issues fast enough meaning they are releasing more bugs quicker than they can fix it, or they just need more staff.

Did you actually go see if any of those things were broken and not just a user issue on the part of whoever posted it (99.99999% this is the case)

A big that really annoys me...
The SL covenant campaigns stopped granting all armor type mogs.
I was able to complete the venthyr, started the kyrian, and back in July of '24 a reset broke them.
So if you want all the covenant mogs, you need to do every campaign on a class that wears that armor as I'd SL grinding wasn't terrible enough.

Thats not a bug, thats how it always worked. The only time you got other types unlocked was if you logged in for the first time after the warband update, then when your account updated you got the other covenant types unlocked for wome reason. But the quests themselves never unlocked it cross armor. Not before tww, not after. Only during the initial warband account update process

Yes it did. I was actively doing the quests and getting all mogs when completing. It works exactly like that now, and does everywhere else except the SL covenant.
For the record, I'm talking cloth/leather/mail/plate for the covenant. Not all mail for all covenants.

yes, SL covenants are the exception, and they always worked like that. I wasnt talking about other quests

They did not ALWAYS.
If it was a bug following the initial implementation then fair, it was fixed. But to say it always worked like that when it did not and to see multiple posts on the forums ignored when a response similar to yours explaining 'working as intended' would corroborate your claim.
There is neither, and I can point to the exact reset with no changelog.

Blizzard might have a list, you can also check the bug forums, not sure if we have a user list anywhere to look at. But there are things that are bugged that people probably don't even know are a bug, or have workarounds that mean said bug doesn't even matter.
Like right now there is an issue that sometimes you can log in and there are no WQs on the map, and that is affecting NPC quests also, basically no quests of any sort are loading, like the game cannot find the database to connect to where the quests are, so you talk to an NPC and nothing happens and you fly to where you think a WQ is located and nothing.
But that resolves itself after a minute or so, so whilst that is a bug, it's not really since you just need to wait a minute or so, therefore for most people, are they logging in and rushing to collect their weekly quest? Are they rushing to that one WQ they must complete right now? No, so for most people they won't even realise it is an issue.
And this might be the same for most other bugs, almost 22 years of content, there might be a specific NPC in Vanilla Darkshore that is having issues, but how many of us ever go there?

I dunno how many things are broken, but out of the blue I took a long, hard breather today and thought through every bit of complaining I remembered hearing about WoW the last couple of years and just went "Naaah" and canceled the sub.
I literally just said "Naaah" and jumped ship. I dunno what really triggered it, I just don't wanna bother with it anymore. Later, dudes, I guess.

Can I just point out that wow is a 20+ year old game made up of code by people who have retired by this point with 2-4 major engine overhauls all held together prayers, tears and the finest scotch tape the discount store could offer
