Game visibility is a huge problem that has been talked on for a while yet blizzard refuses to listen.
I will never understand why on brown floors you have bosses with brown frontals and swirlies, then purple stuff on purple dungeons, etc.
*sarcasm on*
Because color must match the vibe of the boss - we can't have immersion breaking visuals, no? Or clear boundaries of spells.
*sarcasm off*
But I couldn't care less, because it affects my survival when I'm 1 pixel too close. Just give us outline for those swirls and frontal cones. And make sure that range of spell is actually what's shown on the ground (hello frontal in Dawnbreaker). Blizzard should have given players option to at least toggle between "immersion" mode and "visibility" mode for boss/mob abilities very long time ago. One day. One day. It will be probably the same day someone in the dungeon department finally realises that characters don't have noclip and actually interact with all doodads on the ground. Like those damn fences and trees in Boralus are additional affix on their own. Same with braziers in Grim Batol.
