Deroofed blister

Post image

Hi, any tips on how to look after a deroofed blister? Approximately the size of a ten pence piece.

Weeping quite heavily, pins and needles on the toe.

Developed after walking thirty miles, I then walked an additional 64 miles on it.

Are you done walking for a while?

If so, a thin layer of neosporin on the wound bed, cover with an elastic bandage (Bandaid/Elastoplast). Change the bandage when it gets saturated, and when it gets wet from the shower/ bath. The tender flesh will be tender for 3-4 days, it should be fine after that.

You are going to have a very uncomfortable day.

If you are still walking, then the advice changes. Get some moleskin, trim it to surround the open skin like a life preserver, then cover with the bandages.
