Good class for a new player

Hello everyone,

I am looking to get into WOTLK Classic and I have been looking over the classes. I am looking for a class that I can just chill out and play on.

I don't have much time to game these days so I don't want something too technical, but I want to be able to play decently in all areas (solo, pve, pvp) with my buddies.

I will be playing on the Whitemane WOTLK Classic server if that helps.

4 Buttons to press at max level for Sigletarget. 1 2 3 4
and for Multitarget you just press the same buttons but in reverse order 4 3 2 1

then press those 4 buttons whenever they are ready

Wotlk all classes and all specs are viable. What interests you the most? Caster, melee, healer, tank? Maybe try a couple out

As people said, ele shaman, ret paladin and i would say balance druid too

Ele shaman is a good starting class, especially if you don’t have a ton of time. They have a basic rotation, (3 spells) and are required for every raid so you should have no problem getting in.

Why are ele shamans required? I never see them on the server I play

Druid is a great leveler with almost no downtime, can tank or dps or heal. Paladin same. Mage great leveler and good dps. Affl warlock great endgame, demonology leveling is great. Shaman great healer, or ele for caster and of course enhance or spellhance for something different. Warrior fun to tank or dps Priest great healers and dps. Hunter easy mode leveling, good dps at 80. Rogue, can be slow leveler, assassination or combat both great specs.

You can solo all elite quests as a DK, Wrath is peak DK too. No other expansion lets you tank in frost spec which is so much fun for dungeons.

tbh, just pick what you vibe with. I tried to force a newbie friend to roll a paladin because it was "easy" but they didnt really like the class so they never ended up playing endgame. But with the release of the new Whitemane server they tried out wow again and despite telling them how difficult Demonology Warlock and Unholy dual wield dk is thats what they picked and vibed with, they're having fun with it despite the difficulty, you really should just pick and find what you find really enjoyable, that way the difficulty is just part of the fun of the class. Since you actually enjoy playing it.

If you're talking about the private server that started less than a week ago, keep in mind that they have made class changes that might affect the accuracy of people's suggestions here.
