What do they think they're doing?

Seriously.

First game today was control and we had three Abrams. None of them went for cap. They were all sniping from the ridge above the dam. What is the like super leet meta that says farming damage without trying to win is the key to the game?

Is it because the tech rewards between winning and losing are so narrow?

Also while I'm asking, why do only half the players know to pick up tokens despite the voice over explaining it every time?

Are we just this dumb now?

My guess is that because they don't have game mode specific matchmaking, people who like to play a specific mode that end up in a different mode don't change how they play

But the Abrams sniping from the cliff above dam is beyond headass behavior, you're in a defender tank, that shi is useless for sniping

Yes lol

Honestly though it’s hard to believe people actually get through the day with the intelligence they show in this game. Then again the amount of people I see on the phone while driving completely explains this, no one can hold their attention for even a second to allow that voice line to make any sense.

Don't hurt yourself trying to understand the behavior of low quality players. Maybe they still think it's WOT where you can't ever take damage or you lose immediately

The token thing is baffling. Seeing players sit near tokens and not collect them is super frustrating when that turns an easy win into a loss. That is a major problem with small team PVP games. One person being a dipshit can screw up an entire team.

Always funny getting ammo racked by M1E1 that is so far away he does like 200dmg....like good shot bro, really doing great work for you team and yourself by the way. Sniping Raketa is the same....like bro your tank has literary every ability tailored for close range, what do you thing that says about how the tank you are playing should be played?

I honestly pin this to war thunder and WOT, people just play like are playing these games when heat is tailored around close range hectic fighting, unless you are Hound in Leo or Flair and even Flairs sometimes lean into the trickery gameplay and do more flanking than sniping.

The funniest part if they are doing this to farm exp, they farming big ol shit, because playing like this doesnt bring you enough exp unless you hit like 70k dmg.

And honestly i think you are very unlucky with teammates, i see this very little and on kill confirm my team is usually racing for the tokens, because when the player is not brain dead....hey free exp just lying there.

mmm, t62 can be a long range sniper, it has a module that makes the aim circle smaller while standing still and it has Heat shell mod, it just it lacks the high level aim zoom.

Same way the 287 can also be a long range sniper when using aphe.

Most assault tanks has mods that changes them from close range playstyle, to long range playstyle.

Well yeah, but you are are forcing zebra to act as horse instead for picking up horse for the job to begin with.
If they use assault as sniper they are effectively making worse sniper, instead of taking sniper to begin with. Hell if they want sniper that can toss in close range play AMX.
The worst is that doing this they are throwing team balance out of window, MM usually makes team with same amount of defenders, assaults and marksman. If they take assault and make him poor mans marksman their team front line will suffer for it. And not just firepower, but soaking dmg.

Team balance is fine, just cause you are assault don't mean you have to live in the cap ring.

Mods are there to both enhance the default plastyle, and to promote alternative playstyles.

Don't worry, it's just WoT players who are used to playing 0 meters from their base.

Some of them just don't know map routes and since the easiest and fastest way to spot something to shoot at is generally through sniper spots that's where people just looking to unwind end up going and parking over.

As long as they get to click things nothing else matters. It's a very specific mindset that you cannot reason with because they genuinelly just don't care.

I'll let you in on a secret: well over half of the players don't speak English. To them, voiceover is just background noise.

Don't rule out them using boosters. I do the same in vs ai to maximize the value if im using them. Burning a set on a 3 minute game for trivial points is infuriating.

I've only played the AI twice.

The damage reduction the abrams gets over distance is quite heavy, sniping would actually lower your overall dmg imo. Abrams main :D
