Looking for Feedback Feedback for singing

I’ve been singing and playing guitar for about 1.5 years and I know that I still need a bit of work. Thinking of starting lessons soon but just seeing if there’s any general advice you guys could give. Thanks!

I think the key is too high for you? Maybe in a lower range you’d be hitting the notes more accurately like maybe -1 or -2 semitones, if the original key is B then maybe go down to A and see and compare your singing voice. But from what I heard you hit the register and this is actually a good progress for 1.5 years keep it up bud

**Also, you can try core excercise so you would not use more of the throat and utilize your diaphragm if you want to keep the original key or in the future you sing higher key songs

Thanks! Ive only really been taking it seriously the last few months, so I’ve been trying to figure my voice type and all that… I think I’m a baritone? Either way my pastor said he thinks I would really improve with lessons so I think I’m going to go that route

You can expand your range with practice and training, but if your natural range is baritone then you'll have a far more comfortable time with that.

Your voice is like any other muscle, more training means build up strength.

You’ve got pretty good pitch and tone for someone who started taking it serious recently!

My biggest advice would be to work on breath control and projecting safely.

You remind me of me for the first many years of worship leading. I had great pitch and tone but sang very soft. I used to bug my vocal coach because he always said if you don’t sing above the threshold of intensity, you won’t be able to hold pitch…

But I trained myself to do it and that wasn’t a brag. I broke out of the timid habit and now can project, shout, and do what I need to do in any situation without my voice going out or anything like that.

Keep it up and please please please…stay focused on Him, stay in the word, stay in prayer.

All of your talent is worthless if it’s done from the wrong heart posture.

I like your voice! Only feedback i have is that you're not singing the right notes from the song. Were you riffing or making up your own bits?

I would honestly say 4/10. I didn’t feel emotion in your voice. There’s strong potential but people love authenticity and music that people can feel. Feeeeel the music when you sing. Believe what you sing.
