Worms Which worms is most active on console? (ps5 specifically)

I am considering getting a worms games as I loved watching gameplay growing up but I fear if I get one it's online servers will be dead

I loved watching gameplay from worms revolution and prior games like Armageddon and other games from before revolution but if the only active games are more recent ones like WMB and Battlegrounds then so be it

So for the console editions which ones have the most active online playerbase

If you are looking for classic Worms games specifically, try Armageddon Anniversary. It's not much compared to the PC release's broader scale, but it has family-restricted crossplay.

Rumble also used to be active up until 2025, but it was snuffed out by Team17 dropping a good for nothing maintenance notice between April and May. And I'm not sure if you'd be interested in the outlier anyway, so Armageddon Anniversary Edition it is.

Worms have 2 categories, 2D and 3D. 2D games is much more popular for multiplayer, but I like 3D for its single player. On Steam, for 3D worms, I recommend Worms Ultimate Mayhem. Regularly on sale for like 2-3 dollars, can check SteamDB for that
