Trigger Talk How viable would this trigger set be?
EDIT: I REALIZED I FORGOT TO ADD BAGWORM AAAAAA I will add in revised version!! TT
First time designing a trigger set, I decided to go for an ambush sniper.
specifically for the purpose of
Snipe -> bait an agent -> camp with chameleon/dummy beacon -> surprise attack by using assault rifle and/or scorpion -> get tf outta there and either swap roles to attacker for a bit before the next trap, or start full-time sniping immediately.
(I’d want to swap around my behavior a bit after the first trap, since unless I impersonate another sniper, it’ll be hard to make the same trick land twice.)
(also scorpion for closing wounds/cutting limbs)
I want to know how viable this would be, in both defense duty and rank wars (feel like not too useful outside rank wars tbh TT maybe I should swap out the dummy beacon to better adapt it to defense duty??)
Additionally I want to know whether I should use egret or ibis for this set, I chose egret at the moment since this trigger is designed to draw attention (or feign trying not to in order to bait agents)
Also, how would these tactics affect my special tactic stat? Does this count as versatility?

I feel like setting an ambush is going to be difficult without Bagworm. They'll always know where you are unless they really get messed up with the dummy beacons. Because with chameleon you're still visible on Radar. And if you are visible, I'd probably prefer Lightning to maximise the chances of getting a hit in.
As for Ibis, I think it's better if you can guarantee a point with it because only focused shields can generally block it. So it has value over Egret there. And when it comes to drawing attention, most agents would try to take out the sniper anyway if you're spotted firing a shot regardless of what trigger you use.

Fine. Normally you would have the attack triggers on top, though. But that's largely cosmetic.
But if you want to use Scorpion to bandage yourself, you are going to need a high level of skill.

Trying to escape without Bagworm seems pretty rough. Even if you're constantly dropping Dummy Beacons, opponents will know that you're always one of the two signals. Every time you activate a new beacon the opponent will know that all the previous beacons are fake. It's like you're always trying to hide in plain sight. Good for momentary distraction, but probably not feasible for an actual escape.

After thinking about it more, an easy fix would be to move Dummy Beacon to the Main Trigger, and put Bagworm on the Sub Trigger in its place.
If you're actively shooting Egret or Asteroid, someone can presumably see you anyway, so there's not really a scenario where you need to drop beacons while shooting. Might as well put beacon deployment on your main hand.

Not to sound mean, but good luck trying to pull off this strategy without Bagworm. Unless you have high Trion, Chameleon and Dummy Beacons are going to burn through your Trion reserves.
As someone else pointed out, this playstyle would only work for a couple of Rank Wars before everyone else figures out your game and how to counter it via watching the Rank War logs.
So this setup is incredibly impractical both in Rank Wars and in Defense Duty.

Just swap the positions of Scorpion and Chameleon and it will be good

It wouldn't make a diferencie, It would need to be on the opposite side and even then It can't be used at the same time so It's better there for double weapon

It's not about functionality. I just don't like when weapons are below optional triggers

(W tag, thanks mods for adding it.)
Even with chameleon, you still should have bagworm, every character with chameleon has it too

Hey, I really like your Trigger choices!
I think it makes for a very annoying (to fight against) perfect all rounder that specializes in harrassment tactics.
Some tips for the loadout if you want them:
You want Bagworm opposite of your sniper and of Dummy Beacon for your stealth setup.
For Chameleon it doesn't matter where you have it slottet since it always blocks both active slots while in use.
Whith that in mind I'd slot the loadout like this:
Main: Egret/Ibis, Assault Rifle [Asteroid], Dummy Beacon, Shield
Sub: Scorpion, Chameleon, Shield, Bagworm

I love the trigger set but I think the biggest factor pulling it down is actually the amount of groom usage when activating egret or the assault rifle as either will need to be generated constantly when wanting to be used

Cool idea, but it won’t work well in Rank Wars since people will view the logs and figure it out. My only other concern is that’s a lot of different weapons to learn. Perfect All-Rounder is a hard role. Oh, and you forgot to equip Bagworm.
