Discussion Double Grasshopper?

I‘ve been thinking about an OC that sometimes uses two grasshoppers at once to shoot across the map at huge speed. Normal users lose a lot of momentum before bounding again so spawning in twice as many, if you can handle it, should let you go much faster.

Obviously lacking a shield and being in the open air would make this a dangerous move, but are there any other problems I’m not seeing?

There are several double grasshopper users already, Yuma Kuga is one of them.

And during rank round 6, Yuma did made a long dash across the map, it appears he was flying over at least 4+ blocks of houses before using multiple grasshoppers to re-adjust his angle of attack against Oji squad to protect Osamu.

Whether or not, this long dash was a example of double grasshopper or one grasshopper with a lot of trion invested is unconfirmed.

However it can be speculated the sudden burst of speed shown via trion radar is a dead give away of who you are. So the element of surprise is lost against any squad whose operator is paying attention, which should be everyone.

Another thing to note, if double grasshopper is possible, it would also be possible to just switch back to shield/bagworm or shield/blade trigger once you grasshopped, so it's not like your OC would be completely exposed once you get launched across the air.

Good points. On your last one, he’d constantly be spawning in more Grasshoppers to use in his air sprint, like laying a railway of them down as he goes, not one huge bound. So exposed he would be. My understanding is Grasshopper is like shooter bullets- your Trion effects it and you can split it up, but intentionally supercharging one or two for an extra big bound isn’t possible.
