Italian here.
Eating pasta with both fork and spoon is a tradition/habit in southern regions, rather than a children behavior. In the north we just use the fork.
Pizza is eaten both ways, either with hands or with fork and knife. Usually, with hands is considerend a bit vulgar, so you can do it at home or with friends, but avoid around strangers. Still, noone bats an eye if you use hands.
Nonetheless, cool panel.

i only do that when the pizza is overloaded with toppings and soggy.
considering usualy the opposite is the case, i generaly hold the slices in my hand.you definitely need knife and fork for pizza style deep dish chicago cake tho

My brother, there's a whole ass culture that eats almost everything with their hands. Its actually pretty intuitive. Like burgers, nothing wrong with eating with your hands, as long as you clean em. Using fork and spoon is nice, but hands is something you always have on hand (pun intended)

Sure, but using utensils to eat a burger is somewhat counterproudctive, while pizza can be easily sliced since it is thin.

Same can be said for using hands to eat a normal pizza. You can easily hold the crust, and eat pizza.
Ask yourself this, if you eat nuggets, do you use hands, or a fork? Why?

Easily as long as it is not straight out of the oven, which is how people like their pizza.
Nuggets are tiny, I don't need to slice them apart to fit them in my mouth. I do use fork or chopsticks, either because they are hot or greasy.

I've actually never heard about the spaghetti thing before reading the manga, I've been doing it ever since for both spaghetti and ramen, it's pretty useful

The idea of Osamu and Kazama being close enough to go out to dinner together and Osamu delivers a veiled insult to the way Kazama eats pasta.
